It wasn't until noon the next day that Yari finally sensed something was wrong. Not one of his messages had received a reply. After waiting another two hours, he sent one more. Yari: Nancy, text me when you see this. Still nothing. He called, but my phone was switched off. Frowning, Yari turned to Chloe. "Nancy's probably still angry. I'll go find her." Chloe was propped against the headboard, sipping her soup. She glanced up at him. "Her temper never lasts long. Say a few sweet things, and she'll get over it.
