Just because I am where I want to be, doesn't mean my past no longer haunts me. I still have those dreams, the reality that I had been drowning in all my life still chokes me up. But, I would never say that my water was deeper than another. Because the truth is, we are all just trying to survive. We never completely heal or forget, we learn to cope and move forward.
All the gains and losses we have along the way, be it from the loss of a best friend, a mother, father, a child, your partner... We must live on in their name, no matter how hard it gets.
At the end of this very dark tunnel was indeed an exit with light. I've been running my whole life, in the wrong direction. Doubt and precognition were two huge factors that had affected my mind state.
