They all heard the scream and rushed to the other room where the girl was taken. "What happened? Is everything okay? " Manav's mother said, entering the room, concerned look on her face. They all went into the room. "No, no, no... " The girl was saying repeatedly with a terrified look on her face, tears were rolling down her cheeks. "What happened, daughter? What was that scream? " Manav's father said as he entered the room. "Uncle, I just asked her to tell me about herself but she suddenly screamed, " Tanisha said. "She must be in a lot of pain, things don't look good after hearing that scream, " Manav's father said. "We should let her rest. Manav! " "Yes, baba! " Manav said. "Give your room to this little girl for tonight. " "Okay. " Manav did not want to give his room to anyone else. But considering the situation, he had no choice. "Come daughter, " Manav's mother said, wrapping her arm around the girl's shoulders. She took the girl out of the room. Tanisha and Ashwin's mother went with them. Manav's and Ashwin's father went back to the room where they before. Only Manav and Ashwin were left in the room. "What were you thinking earlier? " Ashwin said, looking at Manav. "Huh? " "Earlier, in the other room. You seemed lost in thoughts, what were you thinking? " "Nothing, just... " Manav paused mid-sentence. "Just? " "Nothing. I was just thinking about those zombies. " Manav decided not to tell Ashwin everything right now. "What about them? " "Well, I noticed that they have senses of smell, sight and sound. They respond to all three. " He sat on the chair where the girl was sitting earlier. Ashwin also took his seat beside Manav. "How did this happen, Manav? " Ashwin said in a soft voice, looking at the wall at front. "I don't know, " Manav said. "There could be any reason. From a biological weapon to... " He looked at Ashwin. "... ancient curses. " Ashwin looked at him. "You know I fear these things, that's why you are saying this, aren't you? " Ashwin said. Manav smiled. Suddenly, they heard someone knocking the door. "It must be Monica, " Manav said and stood up from the chair. He walked towards the door. Ashwin followed him. He opened the door and saw Monica standing. "Come, " Manav said and stood aside, making space for her to enter. Monica entered and he closed the door. Manav's father and Ashwin's father came out of the room after hearing the knock on the door. Their mouth got open after looking at her. Manav noticed this. "Baba, she is Monica, " Manav said while interrupting their gaze on her hot body. They snapped out of it. "Oh, so you are Monica, " Manav's father said. "I heard you helped them a lot. Thank you for this. " "It's okay, Uncle. Anyone would have done the same if they were in my position, " Monica answered and smiled. Manav's father looked a bit disappointed after hearing the word "Uncle". "The ladies are in the room upstairs, you can go there if you want, " Manav said, pointing to the stairs. He somehow noticed that the both old men were glaring at him. He understood what was going on but didn't say anything. "Okay, " She said and walked upstairs. Both the old men went to the room where they were sitting earlier. Manav and Ashwin went upstairs. They entered the room and saw the old ladies sitting on the bed with the girl, trying to comfort her. Tanisha and Monica were looking outside the window. They were not saying anything and were not even looking at each other. "Maa, did you meet Monica? " Manav said, looking at his mother, tilting his head towards Monica. "Yes, she introduced herself, " His mother said. There was a little time gap between when Monica went upstairs and when Manav and Ashwin went upstairs. "Maa, I am hungry, " Manav said, touching his belly with his palm. "Is there anything to eat? " "Should I make Aloo Parantha? Is that okay with everyone? " His mother said moving her head around, looking at everyone. Ashwin and his family were from South India. So, they didn't like much of North Indian food. But still, what choice they had? They nodded to say "yes". Manav's mother stood up and went downstairs. Ashwin's mother accompanied her. The young fellows were now left in the room. Manav looked at Anya. She was sitting on his bed staring on the ground. He then looked at Monica. She was still looking outside the window. "We should take the guns out of the car, " Manav said. "In case if anything happens, there should be something which we could use protect us. " "Guns?, " Ashwin said with shock. The guns were kept in the car trunk. That is why, when Ashwin's family sat in car they did not notice the guns. Even when Manav and Monica talked about the guns outside his house, they talked in low voice. And that is why, they did not know about the guns that were with them. "Yes, " Manav said. "How did you acquire guns? " Ashwin said. "Well, that's a long story. I'll tell you later. " "We are not going anywhere. You can tell me now. " Manav was about to turn and leave through the door but again his sight fell on the girl. He looked at her terrified face for few seconds and left. "She died, didn't she? I don't know why I got to see her again. " He sighed and walked downstairs. Ashwin also left. Tanisha and Monica were standing with their arms crossed, looking outside the window. "Stay away from him, " Tanisha said in a cold voice. "What? " Monica said, confused. "Stay away from Manav. Don't try to hit on him. " Monica laughed. "You think I am hitting on your boyfriend? " "You are. I saw you talking to him in that manner. " Monica turned her body towards Tanisha. Tanisha turned her head enabling her to look at Monica's face from the corner of her eyes. "Listen, Tanisha. I am not hitting on your boyfriend. Look at our age differences. " "Age doesn't matter nowadays. " Tanisha was still acting cold. "I won't steal your boyfriend. Stop feeling insecure. On top of that, I am a don's wife. " "Whom you killed. " "I did, but still... " Anya lifted her head up after hearing this and looked at the girls who were arguing over a tiny matter. She could only see their backs from where she was sitting. Her eyes became more terrified than before. "Please, don't kill me, " She blurted. They both turned after hearing this. "What happened? " Tanisha said. They both moved towards the girl. "No, don't come near me, " She said with a shaky voice, leaning herself backward. "Relax, we won't do anything, " Tanisha said, moving slowly towards her. "Nooo!! " She screamed again.
