I pout rebelliously, feeling miffed that Orthros is shutting down my idea so easily. I know it’s not exactly genius and yes, it’s a little rough around the edges because it was a plan hatched by an amateur, but I was—am counting on them to help me polish it and maybe suggest stuff to make it better!
I turn to the one person I’m counting on to understand me, my mate Elijah, since Lila will obviously side with her mate anyway. “Do you think it’s horrible?”
