Chapter 5

“Millies p.o.v."

As we were walking to my fathers office I could feel Alpha Derek’s eyes on me. Goddess, he looks at me like I’m his lunch. It was weird having Derek’s Beta Matt escorting me around like this with Alpha Derek.

I’ve been in the middle of both men since we left my room. If anyone tries to get to close Beta Matt just redirects them away.

I’ve never been treated like this before. We finally reached my fathers office. Beta Matt knocks three times an speaks, “Alpha Derek an Luna Millie, are here to see Alpha Jack an Luna Marie. Accompanied by Beta Matthew on guard.”

He pauses ready to open the door. As my brother responds. “You may enter, we welcome you all.”

Matt opens the door before me as Alpha Derek places his hand on my mid back softly urging me in. My mother has a complete meltdown when we all enter the room an the door is closed.

“Jack Dear! What the hell is going on! Millie here now!” She barks at me, I go to comply to my mothers wishes an Alpha Derek stops me an starts to growl but stops himself. Instead he clears his throat again an speaks.

“Please, Luna Marie. Address my Luna accordingly this is an official visit.” My father stands up, an walks over to Derek standing next to me.

He shakes Derek’s hand, my brother does the same. Then my father speaks. “Alpha Derek, I cordially Welcome you both to my home. Now let’s stop with the niceties and get to the point here.”

Derek’s face has a very Sly smirk on it, the once very official look he had is no were to be found.

My father looks at me, “Millie!” I respond immediately “Yes, Sir?” He continues “Has Alpha Derek here marked you?”

I reply again “No, Sir! But I believe he is my mate given to me by the moon goddess. Sir.” Then he undoes his tie setting it on the desk beside him.

“Millie sit on the couch here, I need to speak to Alpha Derek, Dear sit with Millie, Brad! Son listen up this is a learning moment.”

My brother sat in my fathers chair listening, my mother an myself sat on the couch. But Derek made sure he was leaning on the arm against my side of the couch crossing his arms over his chest as Beta Matt stands in the corner like a statue.

My father sighed slightly, sitting on the corner of his desk. Then there was a knock on the door, my father said.

“Please come in Beta Drake.” I didn’t understand why Drake was here. Drake stood next to my brother at his official Beta post.

“Alright we can start. Millie, you are 20 now we thought maybe you weren’t going to find your bonded mate.

So when we received Beta Drakes request to mark an bond you. We were overjoyed. You have to understand from a parents view. We just want our children to find their happiness.

We had no objections, to him asking for your hand. He was going to propose to you in front of the whole pack after your brother’s Alpha ceremony.”

My father paused to sigh again before he continued, Derek’s hands were in fists his knuckles starting to turn white. As my father spoke again.

“Now, that this is all out in the open. I think Alpha Derek should follow the right way to ask you to be with him honey.”

Just than Derek sat up an pulled me up off the couch by my arm. I said “Hey!” at him. He didn’t look at me, but at my father. I could see everyone around me was feeling his strong Alpha aura but I’m not.

He’s angry, I could feel that when he started to squeeze just a tad tighter on my arm. “Derek! Please.” I said.

He finally spoke “Alright you want me to ask the appropriate way. Alpha Jack, Luna Marie what is the dowry price you’ve set for Millie!?

All I could see was his white fangs coming out and the venom dripping onto my skin burning my dress open. I started to panic my eyes darted around the room I didn’t want to be marked like this!

My father, brother an Drake, jumped up to the defense as Matt was by Derek’s side in seconds the aura in the room was just to much for my mother. She screamed as passed out on the couch.

I felt a tear slip from my eye. Drake then yelled in his Beta voice at Derek or so I thought but it didn’t sound like a beta.

"Let her f*****g go now or I’ll rip you to shreds. Millie is my mate, we love each other, she’s my friend! She’s been by my side the last 20 years!

I will protect her even if that means giving up my life an you kill me. But you won’t mark my f*****g mate unless its over my dead body!”

Derek laughed in this very menacing way. “Oh, shut the f**k up you dirty mutt. Your lucky I didn’t kill you earlier when you showed me your fangs!

Derek then turned to my father. “Alpha Jack, I am part Lycan an have the ability to change my wolfs form at will.

I can protect your daughter and give her the life that she deserves, your rank would be risen and your family would be honored.

Your grandchildren would carry on the Lycan gene from me. Now if you force me I will mark her right here, right now infront of you. Then I’ll kill the mutt an anyone else that tries to separate me from my bonded mate!

As I started to shift running down the hallway. I heard Derek yell in his alpha voice.

I was almost to the pack house front door as Drakes wolf Ajex comes snarling out of the office fangs out, as his claws dig into the floor giving him the extra pull he needs to break from whatever is holding him.

He mind-linked me “RUN! Millie RUN! Fast! I’m right behind you Bean.” I bursted out the door, fully shifted, its dark out now. I push my wolf eyes to red so I can see in the dark better.

Drake comes crashing out the pack house doors a few seconds later, with Derek right behind him in wolf form. Derek grabs Drake in his claws, Drake let’s out a large scream of pain.

As Derek starts to spin him in the air an tossing him into the clearing infront of the pack house.

I’m by the forest line now, an it looks like Drake is hurt badly, he’s struggling to get up.

I’m breathing heavily not sure what to do. That’s when I heard Derek howl, but this time it sounded different.

His aura completely changed an so is his wolf. I could hear his bone breaking and realigning in his body with every step he takes. Once he’s done his wolf looks completely different.

He’s larger, standing on his back feet, arms long, muscular, mimicking human arms but his claws are long on his hands, an with the chest of a man with fur all over it.

He’s pushed out all his power to change into his Lycan form. He’s beautiful, I’ve never seen a Lycan before.

I take off towards Drake sliding to a stop next to him. He’s breathing but slowly. I mind-linked him “Drake get up! Please! He’s coming!”

When I turned to see if Derek was closer, he was already standing but a few feet from me. f**k! He’s faster now I say to myself. I look back at Drake, an say to myself that’s enough.

Cassie speaks up “Are you sure you want to do this? Fight our mate? If this is what you choose I will stand with you."

I respond to Cassie he’s not my bonded mate yet! I won’t let him kill my friends, my family. He’s not in control anymore. He might kill everyone. I have to do something!

So I turn an face Derek stepping backwards over Drake protectively. My fangs an claws out. An my eyes burning from the glow from how much of my aura I’m putting back out towards Derek. He laughs an actually speaks in this form.

“My sweet little white wolf, my Luna, my other half, my queen. Why are you defending this dirty mutt. I am your moon bonded mate!”

That’s when I feel Drake moving under me. Thank the Goddess he’s awake now. Drake mind-linked me “Just hold him here for another two minutes I’ve got a plan.” Drake slowly starts crawling out from under me.

I then barked at Derek warning him to stay back. Which just makes Derek laugh again. That’s when I could feel this overpowering aura coming from behind me, that I’m completely frightened to my core it feels like it could just crush me.

“Finally, you’ve come out to play with the big boys!” Dereksmirkingly says the corner of his mouth curling up. That’s when I heard Drake for the first time as I turn around.

"I’m sorry Millie, that I didn’t tell you. But I won’t let him force you into anything. Just like I never did, an you came right to me.” He’s Lycan just like Derek.

I started feeling very afraid by the amount of energy being admitted from both parties. I can feel myself starting to be crushed by it.

Pushing me to the ground in between them. I can also see and sense other pack members are watching what’s going on. Everyone is terrified.

That’s when it hits me, Derek’s words come back to me. Drake was now standing right above me, he scooped me up in his Lycan arms cradling me like a baby to his chest.

Then using his lycan speed he rushes me to the far end of the field. He sets me down softly. Then howls loudly, an says.

“I’ll always love you, an I’ll always protect you no matter what. Bonded or not!” An he runs back full lycan speed at Derek an attacks.

Cassie says “That’s right, Millie. He is our moon bonded mate. We can absorb his power into ourselves if necessary to survive! But it will be very dangerous. The bond hasn’t been completed. This might kill you both Or sever the bond completely between both of you.”

I bolt back closer to them, both Lycan's crashing into each other slashing an biting away at each other. I run back to the forest line. An shift back into my human form I’m completely naked which doesn’t stop me.

I cup my hands over my mouth to make my voice louder an start yelling towards them.

"I know for a fact you can both hear me! I Millie-Ann Jackson the second born child to Alpha Jack Jackson of the Crescent Moon Blue Lake pack! Original blood of the original Moon Crescent pack of our ancestors!

I command you to stop fighting on my land! Or I will remove both of you from my territory an banish you on pain of death! Do you hear me! Alpha Derek an Beta Drake! I will reject both offers of marking an bonding!”

I stop talking as they both stop fighting an look at me. I continue on “I Millie-Ann Jackson, invoke the marking and bonding ceremony of the Moon Goddess.”

As I raise my hands up toward the moon an look directly at it. “Please lend me my turn mates power to protect my pack!” I’m immediately engulfed into the light of the moon an lifted into the air.

“No! Millie you’ll destroy the bond!” Derek growls towards me as he’s brought down to his knees. Drake sees his opening to attack.

That’s when I come flying through them both at top speed knocking each away from each other. Throwing them five feet back. This power is insatiable, an I love it! I want more!

My wolf isn’t small anymore. I’m larger than even Drake now! I’m running on two feet instead of four, my muscles are vibrating with strength an power.

My fur is even different along with my scent. I’m a Hybrid Lycan. I can feel my eyes glowing now along with my vision getting stronger.

Derek tries to get up! I immediately sensed the change in his muscles. So I take off running again towards him, jumping on top of him slamming him to the ground as dirty goes flying.

He’s pushed into the dirty with a thud. Drake comes running over, an hovers over me an Derek.

I respond, “I will handle him, I command you to go protect my family!” Drake bows an nods to me then runs off towards the pack house on guard!

Letting out his loud growling roar to tell me he’s in place. As everyone stands next to him just watching.

I take a deep breath, an hold my future mate to the ground as he fights below me. Looking up at the moon closing my eyes for a moment feeling the moon hitting my fur.

I softly say. “I Millie-Ann Jackson, Second born to Alpha Jack Jackson an Luna Marie Jackson. Here by accept Alpha Derek Simmons as my bonded mate!”

As I turn facing down an sink my venom dripping fangs into Derek’s neck marking him as mine, my mate, no one else can take him from me.

Derek suddenly stops thrashing under me an wraps his claws around my waist pulling me down so he can mark me in return. Than the moons light engulfs us both. With a large gust of wind that follows just like if something hit the ground at a fast speed.

I can feel Drake shifting back to his human form as he runs over to us. “Millie!” he screams. I’m laying on this warm, soft body beneath me.

With protective arms wrapped around me covering my naked body. Derek softly says. “I love you my Luna, I’m sorry I overreacted.”

Drake lays a blanket over both us an says, “I’m sorry, I failed you Millie. Please accept my loyalty, an honor as a Hybrid Lycan. To serve you as you see fit. Even if it leads to my death.”

I respond quietly, “I accept your pledge of servitude, may my death free you or yours.”
