“Millie’s p.o.v”

So the days finally come, we’re leaving this morning for Bloody Moon Mountain pack. Derek’s main territory, I will admit I’m kinda very nervous. From what I’ve gathered from talking with Drake their a pack that’s very strong but also very fearsome, and ruthless in battle they didn’t show mercy very often unless it was a quick death by taking a rogues head. Would I be a Luna they could accept? Was I strong enough in battle to prove I was a good leader? In many ways I was still learning.

There was four big black SUVs outside of the pack house, my mother was all tears an hugs. My father was happy I was finally taking my own next step in life. Giving me words of encouragement that I could be a strong leader, and the reassurance he was only a phone call away in case I needed guidance. My brother an Drake saying their goodbyes like bros with fits bumps, an high fives one last time. Matt was in the driver seat just waiting in the second SUV in the line.

Derek holding my hand next to me reassuring my mother she could come visit anytime she wanted. And her basically laughing and saying she’ll visit when her grandchildren appear. To only Derek, whom had a sly smirk on his face as if he was being encouraged to get grandchildren going right away. I ignored them both and hugged my parents one more time before getting into the SUV.

Derek sat beside me, with Drake in front with Matt. I was messing with my phone picking a song after putting my headphones in. Derek snaked his arm around my waist pulling me close to him as he kissed my cheek. I smiled at him as I was rocking out to some AC/DC. I closed my eyes an rested my head on Derek’s chest. I heard his voice in my head via the mind-link. “I love you Sweetheart.” I responded “I love you too.”

I eventually fell asleep, the drive was long. I was softly woken up by Derek, “Sweetheart, we’re stopping for gas. Do you want anything?” I sat up yawning an stretching. I had a sleepy smile on my face. “Maybe the bathroom.” I said softly. Derek took my hand leading the way. I was rubbing my eyes when we stopped at a door. He softly motioned to me to go in.

It wasn’t a large bathroom, I hurried an did my business. When I was done, an walked out the door Derek was still standing there waiting. A smile reappeared on his face. “Snacks?” he said, I just shrugged my shoulders. He started walking in front of me, grabbing different types of bags of snacks. I followed him to the cashier after he had about 20 different things. He paid the young man an we headed back to the SUV.

I stopped stone dead in my tracks about a foot behind Derek. My nose twitching in the air. Cassie had picked up a dirty, bloody scent. My claws were starting to come out when Derek looked at me, his eyes completely black. Drake had also stopped an was catching the scent.

I spoke softly. “Rogue!?” Only a second later there was a brown haired girl who started to walk towards me from some bushes. She spoke very softly an weakly “Mate?” She was small, her hair was a mess, an she didn’t look very well like she just got out of a fight. Her claws weren’t out an she didn’t look threatening. But I was still ready for an attack. That’s when I heard Matt’s low growl.

Derek was next to me taking a defensive stance over my shoulder. An Drake was on his left, both ready for a fight. Derek’s alpha coming forward as well his eyes glowing brightly. Matt, walked forward towards the girl. A look of sadness an pain covered his face. As he softly said “Mate” back to her. She smiled at him an fell to the ground. My heart sank at the sight of how she looked very under weight an unhealthy, so pale. I waited a few seconds looking at Matt who didn’t move.

I pushed through Derek an Drake, I ran over to the poor girl on the ground an pulled her on to my lap sitting next to her on the ground. Her eyes barely open. I looked up at Matt who looked broken. Derek’s body relaxed an gave Matt a look of stone. Matt’s body just hunched over with defeat. He walked closer, his voice all shaky! “I Matthew….” I cut him off immediately so he couldn't finish this sentence. I was instantly angry!

My eyes started growling brightly, my Luna strength coming forward. I scolded him. “How dare you!” I hissed at Matt with all my Luna authority. As he fell to his knees before me. “How dare you reject her without knowing who she is first. Are you a male who can’t accept a mate with low rank! I as your Luna! Will not stand for it.”

I could see my words crushing his heart as tears started to form. Derek stepped forward towards me taking my gaze from Matt so I would stop crushing him with my aura. “I don’t accept rogues into my pack! Their dangerous an unpredictable. It's best Matthew rejects her so he can move on and possibly find a second chance mate. He knows the rules an laws of my pack.” His eye glowing black with the golden rim around them at me.

I felt him trying to overpower my aura with his. “I am your Alpha you will follow my command.” I took a deep breath. “Beta Matthew I instruct you as your Luna to take your mate to the other truck! See to it that she is taken care of and we will discuss this later.” Matt jumped to his feet immediately following my command. When Derek hissed at him for defying him. I stood up an brushed myself off after Matt took the girl from my arms. Looking directly at my mate.

Snapping my fingers to gain his attention back on me. His head snapping back towards me. “If you forcibly make a member of MY pack refuse a mate, just because of their standing without knowing them first. I will leave you! You can’t enforce the mate bond with me then take it from everyone else!” I hissed right back at Derek who was now growling at me. I clenched my hands into fists at my sides. Ready for what ever he was going to toss back at me.

He didn’t move, so I spoke again. “What if I was a rogue! Would you just have abandoned an rejected me as well!” I hissed back towards him. Derek’s posture changed, he relaxed his body an slowly walked over to me. Once he was infront of me he stopped, he raised his hand up to me. Cupping my chin in his hand firmly, learning towards me.

“You really are my Luna.” He laughed at me in a very menacing way. Then pushed his lips into mine for a few seconds then released me. He held his hand out to me. “Lets go home now. Drake your driving.” I didn’t take his hand but looked at him with a pissy expression. He chuckled. Then grabbed my wrist in his hand bending over pulling me up onto his shoulder carrying me back to the SUV. As he slapped my bottom a few times. Walking back to the SUV he said firmly. “Stop! Disobeying my orders woman! Thank the Goddess I love you. The beta may keep the she-wolf if he chooses. Happy!” He gently plopped me into the SUV. “Yes!” I responded.

“My the Goddess have mercy on my soul! Woman your going to be the death of me you know this, right!” He hissed at me pushing me over into the truck closing the door behind himself. An Drake drive off.
