“Millie’s p.o.v."

We had finally finished the bonding ceremony, I have to admit hearing Derek’s thoughts for the first time were very interesting. Derek was my true mate in every way now. Which meant I was going to be his Luna. I still wasn’t sure if I could handle all this being tossed at me. I was a warrior, an tracker. I hated my Luna lessons with my mother.

We’d fallen asleep on some of the blankets I had left in the cave a long time ago, I don’t know how long we were there. I just know when I finally woke I was starving. When I got up from the make shift bed we had. I put some of the clothes on that where left there from a different time as well. I walked out the cave doorway, to find Drake an Matt, sleeping on either side of the entryway in wolf form. Like two sentries being posted on a guard watch. How long have they been here? What did they hear? I thought to myself, but today was a new day. An I was excited I could feel this new rush of power in my body, an Cassie was all laughter, she was taking on her Luna role quite well.

“Go ahead an try it out. We are a full Luna now, let’s hear that power!” She giggled through her teeth at me.

I stretched again standing between them. An I said in my Luna voice “Good Morning, Gentleman.” It felt so different to hear my voice sound so much like an alpha, it gave me shivers as I giggled. It was strong, commanding, yet soft, but with warning in it. The two sleeping wolves at my sides startled awake after I spoke.

Matt jumping up to all four feet ready to take a command, as Drake was on alert for a possible attack. I laughed even more bending over holding my stomach, with my other hand on Drakes back to make sure I didn’t fall over. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to startle you I was just playing with my Luna voice, I’ve never used it yet.” Derek came shuffling out of the cave behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, wearing some basketball shorts, messy sexy morning hair, an carrying 2 other pairs of shorts. He tossed them to the boys an they ran behind a tree an shifted back into human form, putting the bottoms on before coming out.

“What the f**k, Millie-Bean! You scared the crap out of us" Said Drake. “Yeah! We were finally getting some sleep. Its not our fault you two have been in there almost two days mating….…” Matt chuckled. “Watch it! That’s your Luna your talking to.” Derek grumbled in a groggy morning voice. I just laughed, “Well maybe we should go back an do it some more why you both have to be stuck out here listening!” I teased right back.

Drake just laughed, Matt pretended not hear me. Derek just kissed my cheek an slightly protested. “Millie, Sweetheart I love you but damn! You gotta feed this man, if you want him to keep going or you’ll kill me. Though it would be the sweetest way to go.” He hissed in my ear nuzzling into my neck an licking my mark sending shockwaves throughout my body making me shiver slightly.

I pulled Derek’s hands from around me releasing myself from his hold. I walked further out in front of them. Closing my eyes an breathing in deeply. I’ll miss the scents of the forest here, I wanted to commit the scent to memory. I opened my eyes again smiling. “Come on lets walk back!” I said with a skip in my step. Drake groaned! “Do you know how long that will take! We won't even make it back for dinner if we walk in our human form!” I pouted for a moment at Drake in protest. My lower lip hanging out, with my best sad puppy eyes, blinking at him. He stood there with his hands on his hips giving me a smirk look on his face in protest.

Derek stepped between us pushing Drake back. “What ever my little wolf wants, she shall receive! Lead the way my love.” Drake stepped to the side of Derek, an said “How about we race back to the pack house, like we used to when we were kids!” “Yes!” I chirped right away, as Drake took off running, “I thought you were fast slow poke!” He laughed at me! “Watch out big foot!” I yelled after him.

As we started jogging next to each other, pushing each other backs an forth as we ran back to the pack house. “Man, those two play like little pups together…” Matt said under his breath. Derek just kept walking behind us with Matt in tow gritting his teeth. “I know! An I f*****g hate it.” a growl escaping his lips.

A few moments later Cassie said “Where is our mate, an the Beta?”

My whole body stiffened, I stopped running an looked behind us. Derek nor Matt were anywhere to be seen. Drake stopped running when he realized I wasn’t next to him anymore. He turned around an walked back over to me. “Where did they go?” I asked Drake in a low, shaky concerned voice. He stopped an breathed in deeply through his nose looking for a scent. “I don’t know, but I can still smell them, mind-link Alpha Derek.” Drake suggested encouragingly.

I closed my eyes, an tried to mind-link Derek, “Hey! Where did you guys go! This isn’t funny!” I opened my eyes still nothing. No response. I just looked at Drake with worry an concern. “Try again!” He barked at me more aggressively, so I did. But I started to show panic in the mind-link.

“Alpha Derek! If you ever want me to do what I did in that cave again you’ll show yourself!” I demanded. A few seconds passed, an I felt a pull on my bond. Derek finally responded. “What’s wrong Sweetheart, are you safe? I thought this was a race back to the pack house!?” Drakes body was still tense waiting for my response, his claws out incase of danger. “He responded, he said basically he thought this was a race." The worry gone an out of my voice. “I think they took off in a different direction trying to beat us back.?”

“Oh, I see what game he’s playing. We’re the mouse Bean. I want you to run with everything you’ve got back to the pack house okay!” I nodded an took off running as fast as I could with Drake fast on my heels. That’s when Derek reappeared right next to me with Matt not to far off. “Come on! I thought you were fast little wolf!” He cooed at me with a smirk on his face. I never backed down from a challenge.

“Let me help Millie, this is fun. We're going to out run all three of these guys.” Cassie giggled in my head.

That’s when my muscles shivered under my skin. I was taping into more strength. This has to be my Luna strength. My blood started pumping faster into my muscles as I started to run even faster slowly making a larger gape between myself, Derek an Drake. Being smaller an weighting less then all three guys I was in the lead with at least 3 lengths between all of us, by the time I started to see the pack house.

I started to feel someone gaining on me. I turned slightly to see Derek, coming right up next to me. Matching me toe to toe with speed. “You can’t out run me little wolf.” He teased at me. I gave him a smirk an turned back to look forward as I pushed myself even more to get my lead back. I felt my muscles burning with each step. The pack house only getting closer, faster. I put my hands out getting ready to touch the door first. Derek’s hand reaching out with mine, we were almost to the door, when it suddenly opened. That’s when I lost my footing from missing the door.

We crashed into my older brother Brad. Myself, Derek an Brad all smashing together with great force sliding into the same couch we hit a few days ago. We all erupted into loud laughter. My brothers mate laughing at the top of the steps seeing us all. Brad spoke with a smirk on his face! “Millie when will you grow up.” That’s when he stopped an sniffed the air. “Oh, I’m very sorry. Luna Millie… Its about time.” He hissed at me in a teasing voice.

Derek was up on his feet, reaching his hand out to me helping me up. Along with my brother, by the time Matt an Drake finally showed up, huffing for more air. My brother an mate nodding at each other having this whole other conversation I wasn’t a part of, before my brother looked at me, he walked up to me an hugged me. He placed his forehead on mine. He spoke softly to me “I Alpha Brad release you from my pack Millie-Ann.” He than kissed my forehead an walked away back out the pack house door.

I felt my connection to my brother disappear. I wasn’t hurt or angry, it was just time. I smiled. Taking Derek’s hand in mine. As we headed to my room up the stairs. But not before he dismissed Drake an Matt for the evening. Once we reached my room, we both walked in. Derek closing the door an locking it behind us. Derek headed straight to the bathroom turning on the shower. “Darling let’s wash up.” He cooed at me from the bathroom.

I grabbed clean towels that were placed on my small table by an omega that leaves them when I need fresh towels and followed my mate to the bathroom.
