“Millie p.o.v"

OH MY f*****g GODDESS! I was furious at Derek. Yeah, okay I get it he’s got money, power, reputation, etc. But I wasn’t something you could just buy like that. Yes, I understand these are all gifts to my family to honor me to them.

But I still felt like someone was trying to purchase me. They’re just some customs of the wolf’s world that I just didn’t like. If steam could’ve come out of my ears it would’ve. My cell started vibrating in my pocket as I walked back into the pack house towards the kitchen with Drake in tow.

I pulled open the refrigerator door, and started pulling out different plastic containers of food that were made prior by the omegas. I tossed a couple of containers of lasagna at Drake, along with some fruit.

Then closed the fridge and turned around to pull out plates and silverware, I than pulled the containers of lasagna out of Drakes hands and placed the food down on the plates and stick it in the microwave for a few seconds once it’s heated I tossed the plate back with a fork at Drake, then walked out the kitchen door. An sit quietly under a shady tree, I put the container of fresh fruit between Drake and I. I take a few bites of food an pull out my cellphone.

As expected Derek messaged me, we haven’t mated yet so he still can’t mind-link me. I start reading the texted

Hotness: Babe, why are you mad? Please talk to me. I’m doing all this for you.

Me: f**k you! Your trying to buy my family’s love for you. I’m not some trophy prize!!

Hotness: Sweetheart, you know its not like that. I’m showing my gratitude to your family for you. Without them you wouldn’t be here an I wouldn’t be the happiest man alive. Plus I allowed you to keep the mutt. An I haven’t tossed a fit cause he shadows you almost everywhere! That should be my job!

Me: What ever! I’m going for a run…

Hotness: Can I come with!? Or would you prefer to be with him…. Even though I’m your mate!

Me: guuuuuuuhhhhh see its stuff like that, your jealousy that got in the way before! I’m going by myself!

I put my phone on silent, an put it back in my pocket as it kept vibrating. Drake just gave me that look, like why are you fighting with him now. I just sat there eating my food, an didn’t make eye contact.

Then Drakes eyes went dark like before, joys mind-link. I didn’t want to deal with anyone right now. So why Drake was stuck in the mind-link, I ditched everything there next to him. My clothes, phone, food an shifted an ran off around the pack house towards the western forest line.

I needed to run free as my wolf to get my mind straight! Once I reached the forest line, I told Cassie to take full control I just needed to be free. Cassie more than willingly take over. My eyes glowed brightly an off we went.

Goddess, was it exhilarating she took off full speed off into the trees. Dodging left and right around tree after tree, we eventually found a nice shady spot next to our favorite cave. Inside was a natural hot spring not many knew about. Which I loved the most, I came here a lot when I was younger it was peaceful an no Luna to yell at me to clean my room or lessons.

I looked at myself in the hot steamy water that’s when Cassie spoke to me.

“Millie, what’s wrong? I know it’s not the gifts. That Derek is giving your family, an we both know the more Warriors the pack has the stronger they’ll be. Is it cause we haven’t finished the bonding ceremony? Or is it because we’re leaving here soon?”

Like always Cassie knows me way to well. It’s not like I haven’t thought about finishing the ceremony but Derek has never brought it up or even tired to finish it. Its not like I’m some delicate flower that hasn’t had s*x before. But this was my home, I’ve never really been that far away from it. That’s when the mind-link hit me!

“Bean! Where the f**k are you! That’s really f****d up you just ditched me like that. Are you safe? Do you need me or just want some space? Can I at least know where you are it won’t be easy to cover with dip shit.”

I responded in the mind-link “Sorry, I didn’t mean to ditched you I just need some space to think about everything, that’s happening to me. Its all moving to fast. I’m by the spring, in the cave I’m safe, if I need you I’ll mind-link.” I didn’t wait for a response an tossed up my block.

I was laying there quietly in my wolf form my eyes closed listening to the sounds around me of the water an nature it was beautiful. That’s when I heard a loud alpha roar howling deeply. It was Derek’s wolf Chase, I could feel Cassie wanting to howl in return to her mate.

But I held her back. If he wanted us, he’ll have to come find me I thought, as I shifted back into my human form, then slowly climbed over the small patch of rocks and got into the hot spring. I wanted to look sexy when my mate found me. Goddess as my witness, I was going to finish this ceremony.
