Unexpected

chapter 17: new training

[Jase pov]

If I didn’t leave the room when I’m not sure we were ever going too. I’m not sure how much longer I can hold myself back. She’s so sexy and she has no idea the effect she has on me. Heading outside I meet Bay and Cameron in the field.

“Long time no see Jase” Cam chuckled as he moved in for a handshake and i accepted

“Indeed it has been, old friend. Sorry about being on the wrong side of things all those years ago, but as you know it was the best move for my people at the time.” and well who doesn’t love a little bloodshed? I certainly do. 

“I understand, besides, you didn’t run a silver dagger through my brother's heart. That was Lucian. And his time will come” an emotionless expression shown on his face, but did not meet his gaze. 

“Alright so what are we doing today?” Alex shouted as she walked up to the three of us with a smile on her face. Looking absolutely flawless even in workout clothing. 

“Well for starters you both need to know, Lucian has found out you’re alive and where you're located. Starting today you will need to train twice as hard. I would also like to ask you all to come stay with me, where I can keep you protected if he decides to attack.” Alex looks like she's going to say something but gets cut off before she gets the chance “like hell we would stay with you! We're better off staying here.”  I do not respond, I instead observe. He’s fuming, no doubt still angry about the news he received. From whom I still don’t know. Cameron just looked confused, and my Alex looked taken Aback. 

I get closer to her and ask “princess, do you feel the same way?” a part of me feared her answer would be yes. The other part knew I wouldn't allow her to stay. Even if her family wouldn’t come she would. 

“Jase is right Bay. let's just get through training and then we’ll talk about it more okay?” he huffed in response as Cam and I nodded.

“Alright, Start off with stretching, then do your daily laps. When you're done we’ll work on fighting stances and basic moves”  I demanded as they started.

[Alex pov]

We ran at least ten miles, going back and forth across the field. Jase and Cam take turns showing us stances, and dementrating moves before having us try them . All and all I think we made plenty of progress. 

“Alright. We’re going to shift into our wolves and we’re gonna run laps around the field. This will help build up your stamina and it’s a good starting place.you’ll run until i tell you to stop.”  he shifted into a huge all black wolf, resembling Bay’s without a white spot. Bay and i shifted and Jase watched as we took off. 

“Try to keep up with me as we go” Cam linked us.

After two hours of running in our wolf forms Cam told us we can stop. Jase took his shirt off and handed it to me to put on after i shifted back 

“You did well today. You 're a lot faster than I expected. After you guys eat and shower I would like to get started on the books I bought.” I nodded and he walked off, with my brother following behind him. I walk up to Jase and put my arms around him, taking a deep breath in. He smells so good. “Alexandria?” he mumbled

“huh?” I said, muffled with my face in his chest. 

“I’m not taking no for an answer about you staying with me. Your family can stay here if they want but you are going to be where I can keep you safe.” I stiffened and pulled away, looking up at him. 

“I already said that you were right, remember? If i’m going it won’t take much convincing to get Bay to come” he nodded 

“Now I'm gonna go shower and get something in my stomach, we’ll worry about everything else after.” I stand on my tippy toes and give him a peck on the cheek and head towards the house, him following right behind me. I’m a little bit nervous about everything going on. And now we’re moving in with Jase? I didn’t argue because I knew there was no point. I go into the bathroom and strip out of his shirt, examining myself in the mirror. My hair is a sweaty nappy mess, looking down at my body I nod in approval at myself. I’m more toned and in better shape than I ever have been . Turning the water to a temp just below burning hot, I get in and feel all the tension for today’s training wash away. I start to think about Jase, shirtless in front of me again. Oh lord how i wonder what it would be like to...GOD ALEX get your mind out of the gutter! You're not ready for that yet...are you?

After washing off I get out and wrap a towel around myself, and head to my room. Thankfully no one was in the living room when I walked through. I put on a matching red lace pantie and bra set, a loose fitting plain black hoodie with no shirt underneath, a pair of leggings and my ratty old converse. I brush my hair out, deciding to leave it down to dry, I only put a bit of mascara on and some eyeliner. Satisfied with my look I headed to the kitchen to see that GRam was making grilled cheese for everyone.

Jase’s eyes lit up when he saw me walk in “You look beautiful Alexandria '' I look away and blush mumbling a thank you. I sit at the table in between Bay and Jase with Cam sitting opposite of me. 

“So I would like to get you guys over to my place before the sun starts to set. I have an entire library full of books on all the species you can use as part of your training as well, the basement is also a fully equipped gym.'' I looked at him in shock. I knew his place was huge but I didn't know all of that! I’m gonna have to make him give me a tour. 

Bay leaned over to me and whispered “umm Alex can we talk alone for a sec?” I nod and stand up and head to the porch. Once the door was closed and we made it to our designated spots on the steps, he turned to me and asked “are you sure about this? You just found out he was involved with Lucian and you want to live with him?” his eyes pierced into mine as he spoke 

“Bay, I'm not upset about  what he did. I’m only upset that he never told me any of the times we talked about our pasts. Moving in with him is the best move for ALL of us for now. Wait until you see his place. You’ll understand once you do.” I leaned over and hugged him. “Trust me on this please.” he sighed but nodded. 

We headed back inside and told gram, Jase and Cameron and started packing up our belongings. Jase said to only bring basics for the trip there and by tomorrow he’d have his people bring everything we packed to his place. After we were done, gram had made dinner for everyone (except for Jase), We all sat and ate as Jase made a few calls out on the porch. In a few hours I'll officially be living with him.
