Chapter 60 :Full Circle

406 Words

It had been two years since Luca took his first steps, and life in Johannesburg had settled into a comfortable rhythm. The city buzzed outside, but inside the Valerio home, peace and laughter reigned. Elena stood in the kitchen, gently preparing breakfast while Luca played on the soft rug nearby. The sound of his giggles filled the room, blending with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Adrian entered, still in his work clothes, but his face softened the moment he saw Elena and Luca. He leaned against the counter, sipping his coffee. “Morning,” he said, smiling. “Morning,” Elena replied, smiling back. “He slept well?” Adrian glanced at Luca. “Like an angel. I think he’s ready for another adventure today.” Luca looked up at his father and squealed, reaching his tiny hands toward him.
