Elena’s fingers hovered over the stack of documents, her heart racing. Each page was a fragment of truth that could expose the powerful man’s criminal network and finally reveal what had happened to her parents. Adrian whispered sharply, “We need to move fast. Someone’s coming.” Elena glanced toward the door. Sure enough, two burly men in suits were approaching, their eyes scanning the hallway.
