HYEONJIN'S POINT OF VIEW: "LEE EUNJI!!" "NE?!" "ARE YOU AWAKE?" "YE!" "THEN GET YOUR SELF HERE, YOUNG LADY!" "BUT I'M NOT YET READY!" "YOU'RE AWAKE YET YOU DIDN'T GET READY?! LEE EUNJI, I SWEAR-" "I'LL COME DOWN IN FEWER MINUTES!" "DON'T CUT ME OFF WHEN I'M NOT YET DONE TALKING! WHERE IS YOUR MANNERS?" "WHAT TIME IS IT?" "IT'S UHM, FIVE-EIGHT! YOU HAVE AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR TO GET READY." "OKAY!" "Geez, hyung! Do you really need to shout? My poor ears were bleeding," he dramatically sighed. I just smacked his head. "Stop it." "Ouch! Hyeonjin-hyung!" He whined. "Stop whining, kiddo. You ain't a baby." "Whatever." After a few minutes, Eunji came down. "Hey! Is that my milk?" She exclaimed to Hyunjae. "Get your own. I grab these milks with my own hands," he glared at her. "But I'm the one who bothered to go outside to buy that!" She pouted a little. "Yeah, and so?" He asked, not really caring. "Oppa!" She stomped her feet, whining. "YAH! You have a lot in the refrigerator! Share some," he reprimanded. "Much easier than arguing with you," she walked towards the refrigerator and grab a glass of milk. EUNJI'S POINT OF VIEW: "Anyways, prepare yourself, Hyunjae-oppa. The whole school is going to be a busywork, which means the students will be also a busybodies." I flashed him a smile after I what I've said. "Is it a lot more busier this time?" He asked. "Busiest," his eyes widened. "Studying isn't involved to it anyways, right?" Hopes surrounded his eyes as he looked at me, fully facing me. "Depends, " I shrugged. "Finish eating immediately you two and go," Hyeonjin-oppa said as he sipped a coffee. "Well, I'm done actually. Just need to get my stuff upstairs," Hyeonjin-oppa nodded at him and I continued finishing my bread. Hyunjae-oppa smacked my head and run off upstairs. "YAH! What the heck?! YAH! Aish!" Hyeonjin-oppa just laughed so I shotted him a glare and he just flashed a smile. WE'VE arrived at school and like the usual, screams filled the hallways and it's very irritating. I wanted to yell at them to stop but no, it might come out rudely because I've been irritated since then because of it. "Wow, what a living huh," I whispered to him. "It's irritating, you know? I wanted to shout at them to stop but you always stop me. I'm going crazy, Eunji-ah. Please," He complained as he looked at me with his hopeful eyes. I just gave him a disgusting look. "You look ugly, stop that," I rolled my eyes at him and continued walking. "Oh c'mon! You're the president! I'm sure you can do something about this." "Maybe, but leave it to the peace officers in a meanwhile." He cried, though no tears left from his eyes. "I hate you, sis," I chuckled at him. "EVERYONE, STOP SCREAMING. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO HERE THEN PLEASE GO TO YOUR ROOMS. THE BELL WILL RING SOON. NO FLAG CEREMONY FOR TODAY. THANKYOU." 'Oh. Looks like, the peace officers are here.' "Jang Hwayoung! Koo Cheonsung!" I shouted making them turned around to see me. "Eunji!" "What did you bought?" I asked. "Oh, that. Actually, we came back to school yesterday, right away, because we forgot the funds," Cheonsung said, chuckling awkwardly. "Well then, much better. We added some stuff yesterday from the meeting so we might need more things," I said to them and they nodded. "Good thing we haven't bought anything yet," Hwayoung commented. "Aren't you going to your class?" I asked as Hyunjae-oppa looked at me blankly. We all chuckled at him. "We'll get going." "Sure." "See you, Eunji-ssi!" THE class just finished and here we have a free time so I just started finishing the rescheduling so then I can go to the principal directly to report it. "Eunji-ah! Lemme borrow a white pencil," one of my classmate said. No worries, we're somewhat friends—or acquaintance. "Get it," I responded. "Okay!" He said ending it in a high pitch tone. "Tone down your voice, Kim Chulsan," our class president said. He just hand out a peace sign at him. "Lee Eunji!" I heard one of my classmates calling me again. "Yes?" I replied. "Have you heard to anyone that someone had ar—" She didn't finished her sentence when Jihye and Minho put their palms on her mouth to prevent her from saying more. "Ar what?" I confirm. "Nothing! Nothing, yeah, nothing.. Don't mind her, she's kinda crazy at the moment. Yes yes, yeah," Jihye said, her shaking voice from nervousness can be clearly heard. I squint my eyes while eyeing them. "And why is she?" "B-Because uhm.. B-Because s-she uhh.." "She just broke up with her boyfriend yesterday! Yes, she just broke up yesterday. Yeah, that's why," Minho-ah said covering Jihye's stuttering. I just sighed at them. "Alright, whatever," though I know they're lying, I just shrugged it off. I am at the month of January now and I'm nearly finishing it. I looked thoroughly, double checking if I had a little mistake or what. The bell rang indicating that our subject ended and will proceed to next subject. "Settle down, everyone!" Our teacher said, tapping the teacher's table hardly. We all sat properly. "Head to the court after 10 minutes. Change your uniform. Now," we all went out to go to our lockers at the gymnasium. Once we're all done, we proceed to the gymnasium and sat at the bleachers. "Hey, Eunji-ah!" I turned my head to faced the one who called me. "Yes?" I acknowledged. "Wanna join? We'll play volleyball for a little while the teacher's not here." "No, thanks." "Alright. On your positions, guys!" I grab my phone out of my pocket and just play with it for a little while. After some minutes, the teacher came. "Okay, gather up, everyone! Today, the Senior High will join us because their P.E teacher is absent and we have the same schedule so, is that clear everyone?!" The whole gymnasium is filled with loud yes from students and at the same time, the seniors came in, bowing for greeting, formality and respect as we also did the same. "Goodmorning, seniors!" They flinch a little when we all greeted them so lively. "Good morning." "Goodmorning!" "Morning, sophomores." They greeted back with a smile. "Since your seniors were here, why don't you play some sport on your own with them? Get closer and be friends?" Our P.E teacher smiled as he clasped his both hands together after clapping twice. "I'll leave the whole court for you in a meanwhile. For now, I'm going to the faculty as I have things to sort out so if you need me, I'm only there. I'm leaving this to the councils that were here. Lee Eunji-ssi, lead them. Goodbye, everyone." "Alright, you heard it, guys? Do anything you want here and only here. If I didn't see your complete classmates here, detention for two hours. So no going out unless it's important. Enjoy your free time," I clapped my hand twice and the whole gymnasium began to filled with conversations and laughter here, there and anywhere. I sat back at the top of the bleachers and continued using my phone while also monitoring them. Just after awhile, Jeon Junghoon and Kim Minjun come up and sit beside me. "Why?" I asked. "So unfair. You're here doing nothing except playing with your cellphone while were down there playing sports," Junghoon-ah said with his little famous pout while talking, frowning a little. I laughed. "It's not that," I was about to explain, but knowing them, I just stop. "Then what?" Minjun-oppa raises his eyebrow. "But, you know what?" I asked. "What?" Junghoon asked back. "Nevermind," I laughed. "Aish," they just sneered. "Aren't your friends waiting? Why are you both here?" I asked. "Because we want to," Minjun-oppa said and also grab his phone out and who knows what he's doing in it. "Hyung, what are you doing?" He scooted over and sat beside him to look at his phone. "Don't play too much on phones or they'll think I'm biased. Go down now," I said to them as they seem to enjoy playing. They both groaned. WHEN the bell rang, everyone gathered by section as their subject teacher got in front of them all. "Everyone okay? No clinic?" He asked right afterwards. "No clinic," I answered and he smiled satisfied. "That's good then. Hungry?" He asked again. "YES!" Everyone replied. "Alright, change your uniform and go eat your lunch. Senior High, you can go back to your room now. The president, lead them. Eunji-ssi can accompany you if she wants to. That's all. Goodbye, everyone," then he left and my section went to change back to their uniform. I walked towards the Senior High. "Do y'all want me to?" I asked them. "I mean, I'll do it actually without even asking for your permission or decision so I can see if y'all are good but I need to go at the principal's office." "Oh, it's alright. You don't have to, I'll do it," their class president said and smiled as I smiled back and nodded. "Nope! No no, but I want to!" Minjun-oppa pouted. "She's busy, Minjun-ssi," Semi-eonnie said. "Next time, Minjun-oppa. Be careful on your way," I smiled at them and ran to the principal's office. I knocked at the door. "Come in." I open the door and closes it afterwards. "Oh. Sit down. What do you need?" He asked. "The approval of yours, wonjahngnim," I responded. "On what?" He asked again. "Schedule." "Oh, you rearranged it?" He asked once again. "Ne." I nodded. "Let me see." Twenty minutes passes as we were still talking about the dates, events as well as the schedule. "This will do. Submit it to the coordinators at dismissal," he nodded, approving. "Thankyou, wonjahngnim. I'll go now," I bowed my head and went out. I ran to the gymnasium to change. After that, I ran to our usual table in the cafeteria. "H-Hey," I said to grab their attention while panting heavily and was about to snatch a food from Junghoon but he moved it away. I chuckle, they laughed. Then I just snatch Jiyoo-oppa's. "Grab your own lunch, Lee Eunji," Hyunjae-oppa said. "I will later. Just let me have a bite first, Shin Jiyoo." "Hey! Use honorifics, Lee Eunji!" He said, annoyed. We laughed. "Yah! Jeon Junghoon! What did you teach to my sister?" Hyunjae-oppa glared at him. "I'm swearing, hyung, I teach her nothing!" Junghoon-ssi dropped his utensils and raised his both arms with wide eyes. "I doubt that, Jeon," I said, blinking innocently, staring at him while he's glaring at me. "Shut up, Lee Eunji. I swear, hyung! I didn't teach her anything!" "Whatever," Hyunjae-oppa said. Junghoon sighed in relief and they all chuckle softly. "Grab your food, Eunji-ah," Shiwoo-oppa said and I just nodded and went to get my own food. Since I came a little late, or really late I think, there's not much people lining up. "Oh, miss president! I thought you won't eat lunch again," it was the cashier at the cafeteria. I smiled at her. "Just had to do something back and forth so, but I am gonna eat now that is why I am here!" I replied cheerfully. She chuckled. "Then, what are you doing here empty-handed? Where's your food?" "Oh! I-I was gonna get it actually, yeah," she smiled and I proceed to take food that my tummy wants to eat, and once I'm finished, I paid for it using our school card and went back to our table, sitting beside Hyunjae-oppa quietly, and just playing with my phone again. "Lee Eunji-ssi?" Someone called my name at the back. "Ne?" As I said that, we all turned our heads towards that person as well and stand up when we saw who she is. "Coordinator, annyeonghaseyo," the students as well as us inside the cafeteria greeted her. She walked near me and nod before walking out again. I looked at the boys and nod before following her. "The elementary department," she started talking when we reached the hallway. "What about them?" "They want you to watch over them on mathematics subject because their teacher will be absent and has no substitute." "All of the elementary levels?!" I raised my voice suddenly. "No, of course not. Just the grade six level," she snickered. "Oh, then it's alright," I smiled assuring it is alright. "And also, watch over the class who'll have the English Language subject first. The substitute for that said she'll come late since something urgent came up. Is that alright? I can ask the vice president also to help you with the other two," she looked guilty, probably because she's asking me to take care of the children, when I should be at the class studying. "Ah no no, it's really alright. I assure you that, Miss Oh," I said to her saying it was alright before continuing, "And, please do ask Jaehyun-ssi for assistance." She nodded and smiled, "I'll make sure to do that. I'll just tell it to him at dismissal, since he needs to do something. Well then, that's it. Have a good lunch, Ms.Lee," I bowed and went back to the table. "So, what is it?" Minjun-oppa asked. "Huh?" I asked back. "What did she say?" He asked again. "Nothing much. Just need to take care of something," I answered. "Ohhh," They all nod. "Or should I say, someone," I added and their heads shots at me. "Who?" They said eagerly. I laughed at them, "You guys look funny. The grade six students." THE BELL rang indicating that it was the next subject now. "Finally, last subject!" One of my classmates yawned. "Jihyeon-ah! What time is it?" "I don't know!" "14:07!" "Taeyon-ah! Let me borrow you eraser!" "You have your own hands. Get it yourself." "Yah, Kim Daeun! Use your special skill!" 'Special Skill?' I looked over at the back of the classroom and there I see three of my crazy classmates playing online games with their phones. "GRADE 10-DESCARTES, TONE DOWN YOUR VOICES!" Our class president yelled making the crazy class calm down and looked at him. "Talk with a minimum voice. You were just next to each other. You don't need to shout like you were in a market or something! Where's your respect to the other rooms?" He glances at each one of them. "It's alright," I stopped him and smiled a little. "Okay," he softly utter. "Settle down, everyone," everyone who were standing, sat to their armchairs. "The ones who were playing online games at the back, detention. Three hours," I said blankly not looking at them as I am writing down the notes I've missed. "But, Eunji-ssi—" They were about to protest. "No excuses," I dismissed. "I will be so dead to my mom, Eunji-ah!" "Eunji-ah, let us get away just now." "We won't play again during school hours! We promise!" "No. Bringing phones were already allowed because there might be an emergency, but playing during class hours? Seriously? Was it right to play on your phones during schoolwork?" I scolded them. "No," they answered with their head hanging low. "No, right? You played a lot of times! And I let you get away multiple times! But doing it again and again? Who were you talking again? You know, I don't tolerate that kind of behaviors. Apologizing repeatedly yet doing the same thing again and again. No. This time, face your consequences. And no phones allowed later," I said firmly. "The girls who were at the middle, on the right. Who allowed you to wear such thick make ups? Even smoky type, huh. Short skirts? Can I even call it just short skirt? Who told you you can cut them so much? The size should be at least above the knees or half of between hips and knees. Yours seems even shorter. I know your body, your own rules. But don't forget your decency as a lady," I huffed. "The boys at the left side! Why can't you throw your own trashes on the garbage bin? I've been seeing you all walk away, letting the janitors do all the work. You should help them by throwing your own garbage on the right place or else our school will look so dirty, do you want that? I'm sure no," I spoke out much more gentle now. "You kept on doing whatever you want, forgetting the school's rules, regulations and policies. Oh, as well as the consequences. Not because this school is kind of different than the other schools in Korea doesn't mean you can just do this, do that. Be grateful that this school isn't that strict. Be grateful this school doesn't need 12 to 16 hours of classes. Be grateful I am letting you get away but not this time!" I sighed heavily. "After, this day, at the dismissal or the next day morning, I will organize this room. I will put the school's mission, vision, philosophy, rules, regulations, policies, consequences and such! So you won't forget. Not only that, but I will also implement some rules and consequences inside this room! No one can change my mind to that. Your seating arrangements will also change, and this will all start next next week," I stated. "Fix yourselves. You aren't children anymore so stop acting like you are. Be mature. Grow up and glow up. Y'all are good at academics. Be a responsible student. Are we clear on that?" I inquired. "Yes, Eunji-ssi." They answered altogether. "Good then. Fix your things. Cleaners for today clean the room. The teacher is late as she needs to get something done and need to be passed at the coordinators. She must be on her way at the moment. Be fast," they nodded and started moving. "Oh, and also, everyone will have three hours detention," I added, I can hear them groan, hating the fact they just got detention but if I keep on letting them get away, how will they learn their mistakes?
