1604 Words
"Fear, It's the most basic, the most human, emotion... As kids, we're afraid of everything---The darkness--- the ghost, the bogeyman under the bed. And we pray for the morning, for those monsters to go away, though they never do, not really, not at all--- if you want example, just ask Nathan Prescott." Said Cole, typing the creepy words of the truth to his laptop in the middle of the night. Back to the morning at the Wheeler's house, A loud shouting voice of Mrs. Wheeler, Joyce, can be heard from the kitchen of the house "s**t---s**t,---Betty, can you down to the kitchen please, Honey." "Yes, Mom, Coming" Betty replies, walking off her bed, coming down the stair, preparing to help whatever her mom need her to do. "Yes, Mom, what do you need?" Betty asks. "Go grab that pie in the oven, and throw it out please, honey, I over-baked it." Said Joyce. "That is our breakfast, mom," Betty asks, starring straight at the overcooked pie, "Don't worry, Betty, I will make you and your dad, a bacon with eggs, instead, it gonna be delicious,---it family recipes" Said Joyce. "Oh about that mom, can you make four--- I invited Mike over for breakfast." "Hmm--Okay" without asking much, because she already knows what that means, Joyce pulls out another egg from the refrigerator and fried it for her daughter's guest, Mike Sinclair. 30 minutes have passed, Mike arrived at Betty house for the breakfast---everyone come to the dining room table and wait for breakfast to be served Later at the same dining table, Joyce just scroll her spoon in a mug and glare straight to the opposite side of the table where Betty sit, sitting beside her is Mike, just casually eat his free breakfast like normal people do without noticing what is going around him, Joyce turns her gaze toward young attractive Mike, "So, Mike Sinclair... I suppose we have you to thank for Betty's ongoing obsession with this new Pharmaceutical company and the death of this Nathan Prescott ghoulishness." "Actually, Mom, I was the one who asked Mike to help me write it for the Golden Red," Betty replies. Joyce chuckles and laughs because it was so obvious that out of the blue her shy daughters just magically go and ask her ex-boyfriend to help her with her school work, and nothing more than that. "Relax, Betty, I'm just making casual conversation," trying to play dumb, don't want her daughters to think she know *know* kind of stuff. Back at Betty, she stares a glance at the busy eating Mike, who doesn't a give s**t about anything other than food, Betty winks at Mike, and Mike winks back, "Hey, Mrs. Wheeler, do you have a bathroom that I could use?" Said Mike. "Sure, I'll show you," "No o Betty, I'll show him--- Follow me---MIKEY." as Mike trail Joyce into the hallway, Betty grabs her phone off the dinner table and walks to her mother's purse that is put on the TV table, she searches the purse, saw a checkbook, pull it out, and take a lot of photos what written inside that checkbook. A footstep can be heard coming back, Betty hurries to put the book back into the purse, come back to the table and act normal as nothing has happened. After finishing breakfast together, Betty and Mike prepare their backpack for school. "Hey, you didn't have to walk me home," Betty asks, looking at Mike's dark slightly red eyes. "Uh, there's a killer on the loose, remember? and besides, you just give me free breakfast," said Mike, smiling slightly back at Betty, leaning his hand down, and holding Betty's hand. Betty slows to a stop, with wide eyes, she grabs his face and kisses his lips. "Thank you, for accompanying me to school and always being there for me, Mike." "it no Big deal, Betty---and so are we----." Mike give a sign. "Yes we are, Mikey," said Betty, smile and they both continue their walks to school. While back in the Wheeler's house, Joyce peaks through the window and looks at the street, saw Mike and Betty holding hand--- she blows out a big breath, signing that she didn't like it. "Mason---please calm yourself down, okay," Betty asks, standing up, trying to walk one inch at a time away from Mason, Betty is scared shitless right now. "I'm sorry, Betty, I just don't feel myself today---Please just go, before it gets worst." Said Mason, while putting his head into the sink of water, refreshing his brain and his rage face.
