CHAPTER 14
Hardy came into the cabin banging the door on the wall, "I think I got it!"
Sky turned from stirring his sauce, "Got what, babe?"
"The communicator! I took the battery to the snowmobile out and wired the──"
"Hardy, you can say all kinds of fancy, technical words, but I know absolutely nothing about mechanics. So why don't you do whatever it is you need to do and see if it works." Sky replied, setting his spoon to the side and making his way towards Hardy. He was adorable with all the little kid excitement, getting a chance to play with his new toy.
Hardy looked around, "Where's Emry?"
"He said he was going to take Cujo out for a walk and kind of check around the perimeter. Didn't he stop in and let you know?"
"No, he didn't" Hardy said, sounding annoyed.
