Esperanza remained outside the cell of Pepe. The last option was perched on the floor, twisting his head down. Esperanza saw her left side and saw Pepe's dad, a guardia common (Civil Guard). "Paano mo nagawa 'to sa anak mo?" she asked irately. (How is it that you could do this to your child?) Pepe's dad just looked at her and afterward took a gander at the book he was perusing. "Huy! Kinakausap dad kita!" (Hey! I'm actually conversing with you!) "Bantayan mo ang asal mo binibini. Ito ba ang nakuha mo sa kakasama sa revolted na 'yan? Nasaan na ang iyong paggalang sa nakakatanda sa iyo?" Pepe's dad inquired. (Watch your habits, miss. Is this what you get subsequent to following this renegade? Where is your way of regarding the people who are more established than you?) Enraged, Esperanza was going to counter when unexpectedly Pepe halted her. Esperanza checked out Pepe. How is it that his could father do this to him? She realized that Pepe was a radical and the public authority needed to chase down those individuals who might conflict with them. It resembles that in this time. In any case, this… . She took a gander at the guradia common (Civil Guard) with the cap numbered 101. He was Pepe's dad, how is it that he could detain his own child? She addressed Pepe's dad, "Pero… . Papaano niyo po ito magagawa sa anak niyo? Paano niyo po matitiis makita ang anak niyong nasa likod ng rehas? Ama niya po kayo. Dapat tinutulungan niyo siya, hindi ganito. Wala po ba kayong pakealam kung anong mangyayari kay Pepe?" (But… . How might you do this to your child? How might you stomach seeing your child behind the bars? You're his dad. You ought to help him, not the reverse way around. Don't you want to think a lot about what will befall Pepe?) He chuckled, "Pepe, iyon ba ang pinangalan niya sa sarili niya? Pepe ka na pala ngayon Manuel?" Pepe's dad took a gander at Pepe. "Lahat na lumalabag sa batas at sumasalungat sa pamahalaan ay hindi na mamalas dad ang araw. Kaya maghanda-handa ka na sa sarili mo Manuel." (Pepe, is that what you named yourself Manuel? So you are Pepe at the present time, Manuel? Individuals who abuse the law and conflict with the public authority will never see the sun any longer. Thus, prepared yourself, Manuel) Pepe's dad giggled once again and left the room. 'Destruction? Pepe is ill-fated?' Esperanza checked out Pepe who was presently getting his hair. Esperanza held the bars, "Kasalanan ko itong lahat. Kung hindi mo ako sinundan hindi ka na sana nadakip ng iyong sira'ng ulo na ama. May diperensya ba s'ya sa utak niya? Paano niyang masasabi na mama - - hindi mo na makikita dad ang araw. At Manuel? Ano ba ang pinagsasabi niya? Ikaw si Pepe. Diba?" (This is all my issue. Assuming you didn't come to me you wouldn't be gotten by your maniac dad. Has he had an abandoned head? How might he say that you will di - - di - - - that you're not going to see the day? Also, Manuel? What is he discussing? You are Pepe. Right?) Punu zfalut val vuft frt immcut fo vuz. Io nfarl Elnuzfrxf om luu vaq ovuzu. Svu ovmpevo om vuzluid, oval jfl zufiiw vuz dfpio. Pepe clarified his genuine name was Manuel Arellano. However, he didn't care for that name, particularly conveying that last name of his dad. That is the reason he called himself Pepe. His dad was a common gatekeeper under the Spanish government. His dad was faithful to his obligation rather than to his blood. Pepe didn't care for his dad supporting the Spanish government. Pepe was against the colonizers. That is the reason he decide to be a dissident, to liberate his comrades from the colonizer. It's been years since the time the colonizers mistreated the Filipinos. It's been a very long time since the oppressors peered down on the Filipinos and called them 'Indio'. Esperanza recollected the historical backdrop of the Philippines under the Spanish colonization. Of how the Filipinos strived to break liberated from the colonizers following 333 years of being colonized. Perceiving how Pepe and his dad had their own sides in this contention torments Esperanza. Filipino walking out on one another and follow those individuals who were not their brethren is unbearable. It torments her to perceive how the Philippines in the past were partitioned. Night came and burns inside the jail were lit. Esperanza remained before the cell of Pepe after other guardia (common gatekeeper) encouraged her to leave. She was unable to leave Pepe and she had no place to go. Esperanza was in her rest when abruptly she heard discharging of weapons outside the jail. She stood up, appalled and checked out Pepe. Outside, strides could be heard and afterward conflicting of blades and shooting of firearms. A battle ejected inside the jail. 'Goodness! What's going on?' Esperanza thought in alarm. A man came inside and hollered, "Pepe! Nandito ka ba?" (Pepe! Is it accurate to say that you are here?) Pepe called out readily to the man. The man took a gander at Pepe joyfully and promptly opened the cell utilizing his weapon. The man readily embraced Pepe and checked out Esperanza. She asked the more bizarre, "S-sino ka?" (W-who right?) "Wala na tayong oras para magpakilala sa isa't isa. Kinakailangan na natin umalis dito," the man said covering his face with a red veil. He then, at that point, headed outside. Esperanza and Pepe checked out one another, still confused, then, at that point, followed the man. (We don't have the opportunity to present each another. We want to escape here, presently) Outside, it was all out anarchy. Furthermore, Esperanza was going to lose her self-control as she saw a man cut somebody's head, a man taking shots at one another, cutting each other's guts and severely punching the other. The viciousness prompted gore. She saw gaurdia common battling against individuals with red and green veils. The man before who wore a red veil pulled Esperanza and drove her outside. They continued to run until they get themselves in the edge of Tondo. The man pulled them to the closest large tree. He pulled his veil off and took a gander at Pepe and Esperanza, gasping. He tended to Pepe, "Bakit ka ba nandito sa Tondo Pepe? At ba't mo ako hinahanap?" (Why are you here in Tondo Pepe? Also, for what reason would you say you are searching for me?) Esperanza took a gander at Pepe, "Siya ba 'yong hinahanap natin? Siya ba si Andres?" (Is he the man we are searching for? Is it true that he is Andre?) Pepe gestured and replied, "Oo siya. Siya si Andres. Siya si Andres Bonifacio y de Castro, ang kaibigan ko." Esperanza, with hole mouth, taken a gander at the man called Andres Bonifacio. She didn't expect the one she was searching for was one of the public legends of the Philippines. She contemplated internally, 'OMG! It is safe to say that he is Andres Bonifacio in tissue? I wasn't hoping to search for somebody as conspicuous as him. This is insane! He is the one who was known as the progressive forerunner throughout the entire existence of the Philippines. He was the organizer and the Supremo (Supreme head) of the association called "Kataas-taasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan" (KKK) or usually known as Katipunan. This association is a development that looks for the autonomy of the Philippines from the Spanish colonization and began the Philippine insurgency. He was one of the brave figures ever, close by Jose Rizal. Amazing! Just hold up!' (We are here to inquire as to whether you realize where is Jose Rizal at the present time. This woman here named Elizabeth was searching for him. We realize that Mr. Jose Rizal escape before he was moved towards Dapitan) Andres Bonifacio measured his jawline and scoured it while thinking. He definitely had some familiarity with the news that Jose Rizal got away prior to being extradited to Dapitan. Yet, he had no clue about where Jose Rizal was at this moment. Esperanza checked out Pepe in frantic. Andres Bonifacio added that Jose Rizal might have been stowing away. Yet, he was unable to stow away here in Luzon since it was loaded with partners of the Spanish government. Jose Rizal couldn't likewise escape to the next country on the grounds that the public authority will chase him down in each port. There was no place he could escape. Andres Bonifacio added, "Maliban na lamang kung… " (Unless… .) Esperanza inquired, "Maliban na lamang kung?) (Unless?) Andres Bonifacio checked out her and said except if Jose Rizal went to Mindanao. The main spot that was immaculate from the Spanish system was Mindanao. A portion of the Filipino radicals escaped here to stow away. Mindanao was immaculate on the grounds that the Spaniards couldn't overcome individuals who were living here, the Muslims. The main spot which was ok for Jose Rizal to stow away was in Mindanao. "Pero," Esperanza inquired, "Nasa Mindanao ang lugar na Dapitan. Bakit tatakas si Ginoong Jose Rizal kung doon commotion naman s'ya tutungo?" (But the spot called Dapitan was in Mindanao. For what reason would Mr. Jose Rizal got away in case Mindanao was truly where he needed to go?) This was the inquiry Andres Bonifacio couldn't respond to. ... Far away from Tondo, a man was strolling. He removed his salakot (wide-overflowed cap) uncovering his face. He has an all around managed mustache and on his wrist was a wristwatch, the other clock of Bangun. He halted and checked out the backwoods. After a couple of seconds, somebody came. It was somebody who was wearing a dark robe with a hood. In the engine was an elderly person who was holding a stick. The elderly person asked with a rough voice, "What news do you have for me?" "I just set off a transformation in the prison of Tondo," the man with a mustache said. He contacted his wristwatch, "I asked the head of the Katipunan to attack the jail. Presently, the spot is washing with blood similarly as what you like." The elderly person grinned behind his hood. "Presently the fun began. However, there is this one thing that is impeding our arrangement, Agustin." The elderly person checked out Agustin, the man with the mustache and the wristwatch. "The young lady from what's to come. She's a deterrent to our arrangement. I need her to be killed." Dark smoke came out from the stitch of the elderly person's robe. The smoke hovered towards Agustin and entered inside his mouth.
