Return of Time

-Episode 8-

Toward THE finish of the way, she was stunned to meet the youngster whom she saved, the person who likewise hit her while he was riding the kalesa. On his hand, he was holding a light.

She halted and saw him, "May pakiusap sana ako sa iyo Pepe. Kung maari matulungan mo ako. Zeal ko na kasi umuwi sa tahanan namin." (I have something to ask you, Pepe. I trust you can help me. I gravely need to return home)

"Pero," he began, "Anong ibig mong sabihin? Hindi mo ba kaanu-ano ang mabait and matulungin na si ate Clara?" (But - your meaning could be a little clearer. Is it accurate to say that you are not identified with the sort and accommodating Clara?)

She gestured, "Sa totoo lang, hindi ako taga rito. Kaya kung maari tulungan mo sana ako." (To be straightforward, I'm not from here. That is the reason, if it's not too much trouble, help me out)

He murmured, "Tondo, ang tahanan ko. " (Tondo, my home.)

Esperanza saw him, confounded. Pepe seemed as though he was in a tough situation.

Pepe said, "Mayroon akong kakilala sa Tondo na makakatulong sa atin." (I have somebody I know in Tondo who could help us)

While they were strolling and talking, with a light enlightening the street, they didn't see two guardia common (police) were following them.

One of the guardia common hollered at them to end. He asked them, what they are doing at this sort of time, strolling outside while individuals were resting.

Pepe looked at Esperanza. The two took a gander at one another and right now realize that they were in hot water. Pepe held Esperanza's hand, and the two started to run away.
