Brian Connor left the large office building on the outskirts of Chicago. His eyes were red, and tears flowed down his cheeks as he moved slowly along. His stomach churned, and he’d vomited several minutes before in the men’s room at his attorney’s office. Even though tomorrow he’d surrender himself to federal agents and head to prison, today was the worst day of his life. In about an hour, he’d be telling his family the news.
