Chapter 23 Diego Garcia headed home from the animal clinic feeling a little sad. He was the on-call veterinarian for the clinic this weekend. He had to go in today and put down Mandy, an extremely friendly collie he’d known since joining the practice a little over a year ago. He knew the elderly dog was in lots of pain, and this had been the right thing to do, but it was still sad.
