Chapter 55
Evan had gotten dressed, gathered up his belongings, and using the tablet, requested a car using a popular rideshare app.
When the car arrived at the motel, the driver already knew the destination and took him to a local shopping mall.
As he rode, he watched as three police SUVs screamed past, going in the opposite direction.
Arriving at the mall, Evan went inside, located the bank of elevators that went to the upper level, and took a seat watching. It only took a few minutes to find what he needed. A group of four teenagers headed to the elevators, and among them was a girl with a cell phone sticking half out of her back pocket. They were all talking and laughing. Evan got up and followed. When they entered the elevator, he did too, bumping into the girl.
