"I'll go do it." She's being a gossip, and it makes me frustrated to a lesser extent. My anger is completely irrational, but all of a sudden, I don't want her claws anywhere near him.
As I sit there, I am surprised by how infuriated I feel at her. The more I am around her, the more I hate her. I look up from scanning the garden and see a sea of shocked faces. I look back at them, wondering what on earth is occupying their minds and maybe worrying that I have a greasy face. After wiping my face with the back of my hand, I look about for the cause of the increased interest in me but found nothing. Something doesn't seem right as I get up and go inside, no one has taken their eyes off of me the whole time.
