He was deeply engrossed in what he saw on the computer screen; hacking prayers was an old game of his, but the invention of the internet had made it so much easier and more accessible. His attention, though, was wrenched away as his assistant, Angelique, silently laid a piece of parchment across the desk. She had entered the room without speaking, delivered the message, and then turned to retrace her steps and leave the room again. Lifting his eyes, he paused what he was doing to mark her progress back across the office. Her long red dress flowed over her voluptuous curves, and steam rose from the imprint of her bare feet upon the heavy pile rug as she briskly crossed the room. The room itself was magnificent.
