Lilith Point of view
The walk to Dean’s office was long and uncomfortable. The whole time, the guy’s murderous grey eyes were on Maddie, who had dipped down her head to get away from his gaze, and yet she failed. For the guy had his priorities set, and he was hell-bent on killing her with just his looks, if that was a thing that is.
I wanted to tell him to stop, but I couldn’t because when I was about to intervene a moment ago, Maddie had shaken her head in disapproval and I respected her choice and words.
We three were soon standing in front of the huge woody door, or maybe it just appeared huge to me because it was the door to the dean’s office. It had the College’s Emblem carved in it so precisely; it took my breath away.
