Thirty minutes later, I was walking in the hallways of the college and heading to my class. The corridor barely had anyone unlike every other day and I realized most of the students have their first exam today; that should explain why no one is hanging around. The thought of the test reminded me of the conversation I had with Maddie yesterday.
Maddie had told me how she was going to take the test online with a personal proctor since she can’t leave her sister alone and the college has accepted her request. As for Elijah, I did not know where he was. He didn’t pick up my calls in the past hour or replied to my text and he was nowhere around.
