CHAPTER 3: WHERE WE LEFT OFF

Several hours passed from when they had first arrived to the cabin. Eden finally awakens from her slumber, in a daze she tries to sit up only to be pulled back with lack of strength and a heavy pain in her chest. Ian long since had awoken and gathered supplies for their travels.He had prepared a meal and was patiently waiting for Eden to awaken. Ian noticed when Eden tried to move and ran to her side. Noticing how weak and pale she was he decided it was best to carry her and help her sit down at the table. He sets a plate in front of her with an array of berries and a peculiar piece of meat.Eden looks at Ian sitting beside her and picks up the utensils and decides to try it. She places a bit of the food in her mouth, slowly chews it and slowly swallows it down.

Ian eyes wide open with anticipation, "Well?! How is it?

Eden still trying to process everything looks at Ian, "I hate it."

Ian smiles and jokingly replies, " I had a million scenarios of what you would say.. That was not quite what I expected. I'm sorry, not much that I can do right now to satisfy your palates I'm afraid. I can take it away if you like?"

Eden stares at Ian smiling and suddenly like a slow rising sea she fills up with great sadness and dispair. Filled with rage she lets out a loud, angry scream.Her complexion flushed and red, her eyes drenched in tears. Clenching her fist, "Those cowards attacking in the dead of night. They knew we would never suspect them if they acted during our annual Hactenian Battalion festivities. I let my guard down for a single moment and was poisoned. The Eastern and Western Troops, led by your Uncle, took advantage of my weakest moment and slaughtered all those people with no mercy. Everyone thought I had sent them because I did not stop the Troops and go to their aid. I couldn't save them, and all those innocent people lost their lives.I don't blame them for being angry, and I feel so responsible.Ian, you gave me the antidote and saved my life but at what cost?! You had to turn your back on your people and give up everything up just to escape and be here with me. It's insane to think about everything you had to leave behind just to save me and be by my side. I know that you love me, and I love you too, more then words can express but this is not love, this is not what I want for us. You aided my escape and battled the Western Troops from your Kingdom. That's not romantic it is dangerous, you have become a traitor and put your life in danger because of me. I have yet to find proof of my innocence, and I don't know where I would even begin to find the culprit who tried to poison me.I feel horrible, ashamed of myself because I could not protect you as your Queen. I am stronger than this, and I feel so powerless and weak.

Ian turns to Eden grasping her hands in his, " Eden I made my choice and I have no regrets. I made my choice as a man weighing in on his responsibilities as your future husband, crowned Prince of the Western Tribe and a loyal subject to his Queen. We can find the true culprit when we are fully healed, and we go back to Gaia. Just know that I am here willing to do anything for you and my people. What kind of man, what kind of husband would I be if I could not at least do this. This is meaningless compared to what I would sacrifice for you. Don't ever doubt my love for you! I know it is a lot you are dealing with but you must be patient and have more faith in me, have more faith in us.Do you hate me for being here? Do you think I made the wrong choice?

Ian I am sorry, I swear I will vanquish our enemies, save our people and restore our kingdom.I will not let your sacrifices be in vain. I understand you assumed your responsibility and weighed in the gravity of the circumstances. Im sorry, if I was in your place I would have done the same. I almost died and you saved my life, thank you. I will respect your decision, and I trust you, thank you for being here, I'm just frustrated. I have never felt this lost and misguided. Also, I am grateful that you shelter my soul in this pure spirit.This childs spirit will help me heal. Once the ritual is done, our souls no doubt will comune and heal each other.

Ian smiled and held her tightly in his arms as he recounted, "I was lucky, I heard her cry in the middle of the storm. It was a bad car wreck, ended her parents life instantly.During the storm their car was hit by a larger vehicle. I made sure to check, there was no pulse, I wanted to help them... I was too late. Your soul could have only lasted in this sphere for 48 hours. I was still being tracked by the Western Troops and I still needed to track down the Ahmen. You both where in danger with me at your side. I needed to keep both of you safe, so I teleported around until I found the shelter. I wrapped the child in my cloak and left my ring for you as a promise of my return. I connect your souls with the Silver Kings Mantra."

Eden smiled trying to ease Ian's sadness. "Thank you. I was safe and loved in the orphanage. For the first time in my life, I got to feel the love of a parent, a family and I had many siblings that shared with me. In those short three years I got to see and feel things that my status and wealth had never given me. I was born a Queen, gilded, love and free time was never given to me.

Ian smiles and then suddenly is taken aback, gets a flash of a memory. "Eden! Listen to me, With everything that's happened I haven't been able to tell you of the recent occurrences. After I had left you at the orphanage, it took me several months to shake the Western Troops of my scent. I started my search, and it took me almost two months to find the Yucatan's Ahmen. They did not take kindly to an unwelcomed stranger asking for their Ahmen. Thankfully our homeland insignia was able to convince them I ment no harm and reminded them of our ancestors and the peace treaty they made. I told the Ahmen what happened and what was required and he agreed to do it but only if I performed the 13 trials and earned their God's favor.They helped me train and familiarize with their customs. I lived and breathed vigorous training from sun up to sun down. Weeks went by without being able to utter a single word. I was taught to listen to the earth and look to the stars for guidance. Every living thing is precious, and our souls are connected to everything. When I finally could no longer stand, the 13 trials began. I don't know how I did it, but they helped me. When I got back to the village, I saw a sea of fire and a scent of fresh blood in the air. The Western Troops had decimated everyone and everything. I searched for survivors and found none..Men, Women, Children.. I yelled out and heard a cry. I found a small girl, Ati she had sustained some injuries but she survived. I cleaned and bandaged her wounds the best that I could with a bit of water and some cloth that I found. I asked Ati if she knew of any more survivors and she pointed to the Ahmen's hut. I ran to his hut and found him laid out on the ground with no pulse. I yelled out for survivors and assured them it was me, and it was safe. I heard a voice call out faintly from under the Ahmen.Under the Ahmen's body, was a large sown rug covering a small shelter underground. He had sheltered his family and sacrificed himself. His wife Akna, his son Eloy and Eloy's betrothed Izel were all sheltered and safed. Izel is currently with child and is due to give birth any day now. Ati, Akna, Izel, Eloy and myself all traveled to the mountains in

guise of the night and trees.We slept in turns, hiding during the day and traveled at night. When we finally got to the mountains, we gathered food and built a nice little cabin with enough room for all of us.Since the Western Troops believed they killed the only Ahmen and they could not detect my soul or yours they might have thought they completed their mission. I haven't sensed them in this world for some time, so we should be safe. "

Eden still in shock " What do you mean, Belive they killed?! What do you mean, Should be safe?!"

Ian smiles and tousles Edens long, curly, flowing hair "Relax! Eloy is the next in line to ascend as Ahmen and he can perform the ritual. Even though I don't scense any of the Western Troops they are stuck here in this realm like we are. They will lie dormant until a Western King commands them to move or if they feel their mission is still active. So when our souls are dormant, they can't find us.Eden, we have to start making our way back to them, they are waiting for us. This child can only last 48 hours inside this scepter we do not have a lot of time."

Eden stands and looks outside of the window. The sun is now setting, and she knows Adrian has barely been able to eat or rest for a while. She fears if he doesn't rest soon he could push himself to much and put his life in danger.

Eden looks at Ian with a shy demeanor and says, "We should stay another night. We are safe here for the moment. Allow me this request as your Queen. We have never had the opportunity to be alone like this. You need to rest and regain your strength.I have never felt closer to you, after this we must separate and not see each other for several years.Please allow me to stay at your side a bit longer my love."

Ian looks deep into her forest green eyes then whisper to her as he caresses her neck with his lips," That is why I love you Eden. As you wish, your wish is my command. Anything you want, you can have all of me, I'll do anything to please you."

The heat of his skin directly onto hers. Eden looking into his eyes replies "I really need for you to get some rest.I am not going anywhere, I'm already yours.

He places her hand on his chest and slowly brings it down to feel the hard pulse of his arousal.Eden feels it throbbing and getting bigger and bigger the swelling in his loins, the thought of him inside her excites her. His engorged flesh moistened, and penetrating her is all she could think about. Eden smiles and playfully replies,"Surprise me."

Ian starts licking her neck, nibbling and suckling. Eden moans uncontrollably "Mmmnnn.. Mmnn..Ian.. Wait!" He stops and asks "What's wrong?" Eden straddles Ian and grabs the lace tie from her robe and ties Ian's hands together tightly.

Ian Surprised, "What are you doing?"

Eden smiles, "Why don't you let me please you, tonight is all about you."

Ian went mad with pleasure unable to do as he pleased. "Eden.. wait.. Mmmnn..."

Driven by lust Eden vigorously licked his perfectly chiseled chest, suckling and nibbling his neck working her way down his torso.

Ian could feel her warm embrace He wanted her, all of her. "Eden...Mmmnn.. I want you so bad... Aaahh... Untie me Eden.. Untie me... Aaah...

Eden continued and unbuckled his belt. Ian quickly sat up and untied his hands griping the lace with his teeth.

Eden surprised jumps back and starts to curl away. Ian smiles and with a serious face says "Don't run from me now."

He slowly kisses her lips and clasps her hands in his. He grabs her by the waist bringing her closer to his body forcing his swollen staff to caress her thighs. He caresses her petal soft folds and with his lips and tung removes her most treasured pearl. She swoons in pleasure as the apex of her legs has now become a door to her fertility. Ian now desperate to feel her passion-moistened depths, looks at Eden in her eyes gets her last consent. He takes his pulsing core and gently penetrates Eden with his virile masculinity. The sun finally sets as the two driven by passion now have become one.
