I woke up slowly, the sunlight warm against my face.
Warm.
Soft.
Safe.
Something was draped over my waist.
Something heavy.
Something protective.
A breath brushed the top of my head.
And then a voice, low, rough with sleep, so intimate it sent shivers down my spine… murmured:
“Good morning, sweetheart.”
