Sonia’s POV I don’t remember the drive, just the blur of trees outside the window and the faint hum of the radio. It felt like the kind of day that didn’t belong to real life. The sun was bright but not cruel. The sky was endless. We were going on vacation. Those words still felt strange in my mouth. “Vacation.” Like something borrowed from another person’s life, someone lighter, freer, untouched by hospital walls and missing memories.
