If I Ruled The World

THE CROWD AROUND JESUS

For twelve years she had been bleeding.

Problem and was labeled unclean

Her bank account was depleted by

All the physicians she has seen.

First she had a consultation with

The local hematologist,

He couldn’t do much for her, so

She tried the gynecologist.

Sadly, neither of them could help.

her live a normal life,

Then she heard that Jesus healed.

Without using a surgeon’s hand.

But how could she get close to Him?

She was weak and looking grim,

With the crowd always around Him.

Her chances were rather slim.

The desire to be healed by Jesus

It was prompted by her implicit faith.

“Just touch His garment'', said Faith.

“Go now before it’s too late”

“But what if he feels touched me?

Him, what do I say?

That crowd around Him keeps

Everyone at bay?”

“Don’t worry about that crowd,”

Said Faith, “You will get in

You’ve lost a lot of weight and

You’re looking very thin.”

Very cautiously she made her

Way to the edge of the crowd

She could hear the voice of

Jesus is gentle but not too loud.

She took the gap between the two

Men, pushing wasn’t her style.

The next line was tightly closed.

So she waited a while.

Trying not to notice her

Weaved her way through

Hoping that the Physician

Will soon be in view.

Because she was unclean they

Deliberately blocked her way,

But that didn’t deter her,

It caused a short delay.

Then, after that, it seemed forever.

She got close to the Master

She pushed, she knew that she

Touch the hem of His garment,

Instantly, she felt a change while

Kneeling on the pavement.

“Who touched me?” asked Jesus.

And they thought what a question

Attacked, what is an accusation?

With great fear she told Jesus.

About how she was feeling.

He commended her faith.

What an effort it was for that sick

Woman to reach her goal.

The crowd almost prevented her.

From becoming whole.

Are we crowding around Jesus?

Just out of sheer habit?

Thus preventing the destitute

From entering His orbit.

Sometimes just crowding around

Jesus, we can be a stumbling block.

We should listen and help others.
