The new edition was also inundated
with the same accusations,
Except for page 5 which had a few
frightening revelations.
On this page was an article about
Judas who’s life ended in disaster,
For 30 pieces of silver he sold Jesus
who was once his Lord and Master.
After Jesus’ arrest, Judas realized
the mistake he had made,
He tried to buy Jesus’ release with
the same money he was paid.
The loud shriek resonating in the
hall came from a demented man
Who ran up to the priest standing
around the witness stand.
It was Judas. He fell to the floor
and clung to the robe of a priest
He admitted his mistake and he
pleaded for the Prisoner’s release.
No one listened to him, so he
threw the money on the floor.
Then he left. It was obvious they
had no need for him anymore.
He was riddled with guilt and
agony which drove him insane,
So he hung himself from a tree
and was never seen alive again.
When the crowd walked up the
hill towards Calvary,
Thy saw the mutilated body of
Judas lying under a tree.
Because of his weight the bough
from which he hung broke,
Then the dogs ate his body, and
they watched but no one spoke.
Now he realized his betrayal of
the Master was unwise
He single handedly orchestrated
his own evil demise.
The atmosphere that hovered
over the city during those days,
Was excitement, anticipation,
fear and many other ways.
The sun had barely risen when the
streets became a hive of activity.
And I stood with the huge crowd
outside the place of His captivity.

A cry was heard when Jesus
was brought into the courtyard,
I saw a crown of thorns being
forced on His head by a guard.
Then the cameras flashed, and
the video recorders began to roll,
Getting the scoop of the year was
every reporter’s goal.
As He bent to pick up the cross
that He was compelled to bear,
We saw blood from the whipping
that caused His back to tear.

A few feet from where they had
The main interrogation
A group of by-standers asked
Peter about his affiliation.
They were sure that he knew the
The prisoner was lying on the floor.
Thrice he denied knowing Him then
He left through the front door.
Just before Peter denied Jesus a
Sound was heard loud and clear.
It was a c**k crowing and it made
Sure that everyone could hear.
Then Jesus looked at Peter with
Compassion on His bruised face
I wanted to see Peter’s reaction.
But he quickly left the place.
Early that morning Jesus was
Taken to the Main Court in town,
The streets were deserted except
For the beggars hanging around.
The court was packed and there
There was hardly any place to stand,
All the town folk were there and
Some from other parts of the land.
