Chapter 13Layne left the Folly very early Sunday morning. He’d said his goodbyes to the ghostly trio, with Lizabeth telling him in no uncertain terms she expected him to return as soon as possible. “Like next weekend.” He told he’d do his best, but no promises, which did little to placate her. His farewell to Kieran was fraught with tension, both good and bad. They held each other, neither of them wanting end the embrace, or the kiss that ensued.
