Chapter 1 Scared Page 1

" HEEEEELLP!!-" I've been screaming for days in this place I don't know where I am but what I do know is it's cold, wet and dark. Things crawl upon my body as I lay asleep to the point where I don't sleep anymore. The only bit of light is by the little metal box carved in the door where a dark hand with jagged nails would drop food everyday. How did get here? I don't know either but I tell you where I was before. It all started when I first purchased a book name 'A Force' I bought per suggestion of a man on the street promoting a number for things: lamps, mats, jewelery and like. He was brown, appeared frail and weary but as I approached he made himself known. Hustling his items at me but I said no to all. He then led me to the back of his stall, I had just lost my job so I followed having nothing else to loose. There he dug around and found a small old dusty wooden box where a book layed dormant as if untouched by time. He spoke slowly "Young man", he said as he looked me in the eye, " This book will bring everhthing you want in life as long as you never speak of it". I stood tall confused at his words asking "why?", his only reply was " Your fortune will be good if you quiet your soul but your fortune will be foul if a word leave your lips". Dismissing his odd words, I bought and read the book as soon as I got home doing exactly as it said the first was bury something of love, so after an argument within myself I buried my favourite watch my father gave me the the second was burn something of hate so I burn a burned and old drawing that I had made. The final step was to wait 6 wks for these things I did to work. Five weeks passed it was my birthday september 22nd,I found a job at a local coffee shop as a barista two weeks ago. Me and some of my works friends are coming over today including my girlfriend Eva. "How's my birthday boy" Eva said grinning ear to ear, her green eyes dancing. Eva came over two hours before the party at 6.00 p.m to help me set up. She'd never been in my house as we were new thing of 3 weeks. But I never expected her have been through my things. When I enterex the living room after making drinks in the she held the book forbidden to be shared with anyone else. I couldn't control myself I lept forward and grabbed the book straight from her hands. She looked confused and that's the last I remembered about her silent tear down her face and her bruised red hands. After the party I never heard of saw Eva again.
