Save me

LAURENT ESTATE The study smelled of expensive whiskey, leather, and control. Everything inside the room was perfectly arranged. Dark shelves lined the walls from floor to ceiling while soft amber light spilled across polished wood and black marble. The silence inside the estate felt heavy, almost suffocating. Richard Laurent sat behind his desk with one leg crossed over the other. At first glance, he looked calm and composed.. But the tight grip around the glass in his hand said otherwise. His eyes stayed fixed on the tablet resting on the desk before him. The screen displayed picture after picture of Lucien at tonight’s FMX event. Lucien airborne. Lucien smirking beneath the stadium lights. Lucien surrounded by screaming fans. Every image made Richard’s jaw tighten harder. He hated this part of Lucien’s life. Not because of the danger. Not because of the media. Because it was the one thing he could not control. And Richard Laurent despised losing control. The comment section moved endlessly beneath the photos. God, that man is unreal. LL owns this sport. New York’s favorite bad boy. Richard’s expression darkened. Then his eyes landed on another comment. See the life a mayor’s son is living. Silence filled the study for exactly one second. The glass in Richard’s hand cracked sharply. Then everything exploded. The whiskey glass slammed against the wall first. Shards scattered across the floor violently. His hand swept across the desk immediately after, throwing documents, expensive pens, and files onto the marble floor. The tablet followed next. It hit the ground hard enough to split apart instantly. The sound echoed through the room. Richard rose from the chair slowly, breathing heavily through his nose. Pure rage sat beneath his skin. His calm mask was gone now. He dragged a hand down his face before staring at the shattered tablet on the floor again. Lucien’s broken image still flickered faintly across the damaged screen. That only made it worse. Richard’s eyes hardened. “That boy will destroy everything,” he muttered coldly. A knock came from the door. Careful. Hesitant. Richard did not answer immediately. The person outside clearly sensed the tension because the door opened cautiously a few seconds later. One of the estate staff stepped inside nervously. “Sir…” Richard turned his head slowly. The man instantly froze after seeing the destroyed study. “I said I wanted to be alone.” His voice was quiet. That was what made it frightening. The staff swallowed quickly. “My apologies, sir. It’s just… the maid is here with your dinner.” The room fell still again. Richard’s expression changed slightly at that. Not softer. Worse. A cold smile slowly pulled at the corner of his mouth. “Send her in.” --- MENMO pulsed with heat, music, and sinful acts. The stage lights dimmed into deep crimson as smoke curled across the floor. The crowd screamed louder the moment a long toned leg stepped onto the stage. Then Sierra appeared fully. The reaction was instant. She looked dangerously beautiful without even trying. Red lingerie hugged her hourglass figure perfectly, the silk catching against her skin beneath the golden lights. Her blonde hair was pulled into a high ponytail that exposed the elegant line of her neck, while the red microphone in her hand matched the seductive glow surrounding her. She smiled slowly at the crowd. “Hey, babies.” The men below practically lost their minds. Whistles erupted from every direction while women watched her with equal fascination. Sierra carried herself with effortless confidence, like she knew every pair of eyes in the room belonged to her already. That was the exact moment Valentino and Lucien entered MENMO. Valentino spotted Sierra first. “Oh, damn,” she muttered before grabbing Lucien’s arm. “That lady singing is a total hot cake.” “Not my type,” Lucien replied casually without even looking. He was too busy s******g butts as he walked past the crowded floor, completely unbothered by the offended gasps some women gave him afterward. Valentino rolled her eyes instantly. “You are such a menace.” Before Lucien could answer, another voice called out. “Val!” Dante waved wildly from one of the VIP sections upstairs. Valentino groaned. “And there goes my peace.” Lucien smirked faintly before walking off without her. Meanwhile, Sierra’s voice floated through the club like dark honey. Smooth, Seductive and Dangerous. The music wrapped around the room while bodies rubbed together beneath the lights. Even the dancers on the poles became more energetic, caught by the softness hidden inside Sierra’s voice. But beneath the makeup, the confidence, and the seductive movements, Sierra was struggling. Her breathing had become uneven halfway through the performance. Her vision blurred briefly under the lights. Still, she kept singing. By the time the performance ended, the entire club erupted into applause. Men crowded near the stage immediately, already shouting offers at her. “Sierra, over here!” “Spend the night with me!” “How much for private company?” Sierra forced a smile that barely held together before slipping backstage instead. The second the curtains closed behind her, every ounce of strength left her body. Her breathing shook. Her heels stumbled against the floor as she rushed toward her bag sitting near the vanity mirror. “s**t…” Her hands trembled badly while digging through the backpack until she finally found the insulin pen. Her blood sugar had dropped too fast. Without wasting another second, she injected herself quickly, gripping the edge of the table for support afterward. But it was not enough. Not yet. The room tilted dangerously around her. Sierra grabbed her bag weakly before staggering toward the back exit leading to the balcony, desperate for air. Cold night wind hit her skin the moment she stepped outside. Two blurry figures stood near the railing ahead. A man. A woman. Sierra could not make out their faces properly. Everything looked foggy now. Her breathing worsened. She tried walking past them quietly, but her knees nearly buckled underneath her. The insulin pen slipped from her weak fingers and rolled across the floor until it stopped beside someone’s shoe. Sierra sniffled softly before trying to bend down for it. The world spun violently. “Let’s continue and leave her be,” the female voice said dismissively. “Never said I had plans on interfering,” the man answered lazily. Lucien. His hand had barely reached for the woman’s waist when a weak sound stopped him. “Please…” Sierra’s voice cracked painfully. “Please save me.” TBC………
