Kathleen woke, excited about the day ahead. It had been years since she had been to a Christmas tree farm to hunt for just the right tree. Chris hadn’t liked the fuss of going out every year, so early in their marriage they had agreed on an artificial one, upgrading as soon as she could for the type that was already strung with lights.
