Roy climbed out of the shower, shaved, and dressed in warm clothes. He wanted to be ready to face Kathleen, and if it meant attending the sailpast at her condo—and on her turf—so be it. It wasn’t like she could refuse him. The kids would be watching, and she had invited him, albeit before he had banned her from the house. But an invitation was an invitation.
