To be honest, Derrick is not to blame for everything that happened. Nina is. She was not a loyal wife as he had imagined her to be. She was actually a cheat. Come to think of it, if she had not cheated with Derrick then she would have cheated with someone else.It just came to be that Derrick ended up falling in her trap. She might have done it on purpose, who knows that at this point.
