Nina felt that calling Heather was a very wrong decision but she went ahead to do it. She had her number hence she figured that she should just call her and see. Maybe they can fix whatever happened in their friendship. She still has her number and this means a lot. Maybe she was right to think that they would be able to fix their relationship and she would be able to get her friend back. She didn't see a problem with that since she is with Derrick now.
