Nina had to stop herself from crying. She did not want her dad to come back and find her crying. He is supposed to find her happy, pleased with the decision that she had made. Not crying as if she had made the wrong decision.
It took her so long to calm herself but in the end she managed to calm herself down. She walked to the mirror and started smiling as she watched her image, hoping that soon the forced smile will be believable. She was so done with the fight she had with her father concerning Robert. She wanted him to know that she was perfectly fine without him.
