Nina made dinner for Derrick and Heather who had confirmed that she was going to arrive in about an hour or so.
Derrick had not come back home. Nina had tried calling him but he insisted that he had so much office work that he needed to complete.
Nina understood him, plus, he had already sacrificed enough to allow Heather to come and live with them, hence Nina didn't want to bother him. He will get home when he is done with work and that would be okay to her.
