The message Jason had gotten earlier meant nothing to him. His grandfather was gone, that was all that mattered. The thought of the last message he left him gnawed at him. What could have been in the letter was all he could think about and how to find it was another mission. Ethan, was now someone who he would have to deal with again. Jason remembered the glory and how he had carved a name in the meantime. With his grandfather's death,everything seems to be slipping away. Jason sat in the back of the classroom, eyes glazed over as the professor’s voice droned on in the background. His notebook lay open, the pages untouched, his pen resting idly between his fingers. Every now and then, a stray thought pierced through the haze in his mind, but it was never anything about the lecture.
