The myth of the cursed wolves

Chapter Two - Danger

The days after were suffocating. I had guards following me and my training was more intense. I have little to no time for myself, much less to hang out with My friends.

The pups were taken to a special safe building by our old territory in California. Elk was supposed to go as well but he sneaked into the pack house last minute and no one noticed.

As soon as we are attacked I'm taking Elk and running until I reach one of the old hideouts the pack has around the globe.

Anyone who wasn't a worrier we're gone with the exception of a few who were to make sure everyone was safe.

“Aria you have to go, it's not safe here , they are coming!” My father yelled

“I don't care that they are coming! They can stick a rock up their ass cuz they are not scaring me off!”

“Adriana you are a princess not a worrier or a fighter, if worst comes to worst you are leaving here and I don't care if I have to drag you” he said suddenly in a very calm voice.

“Fine , but as long as I can still fight, I am fighting” I said as I walked out the living room and towards my house.

I don’t live in the pack house like everyone else. As Princess I live in a more protected part of the territory, mostly because I have a pup that lives with me I can’t let anything happen to him.

I walked towards Elks room in the pack and after we left for the house.

“don't you think that I will just let this go, as soon as everything goes back to normal your grounded”

“But Ma!” he whined

“but ma nothing, what you did was beyond dangerous, they are attacking soon and you are still here. I'm supposed to take care of you, not let you get hurt”

“I'm not going to get hurt” he said

“How can you be sure? Your just a pup, everything you have been through no pup should go through and I let it happen, it's my fault” I said referring to him being attacked.

“it's not your fault! If anything it's my bio parents fault! If it wasn't for the fact that my bio mother trusted in my bio father no one would be in danger” he said looking down.

“Hey, look at me. That might be true, your bio father & mother might be at fault for all of this. Maybe if they hadn’t met then none of this would have happened but if it never happened you wouldn’t be here with me and I don’t know what I would do if you weren’t in my life,Elk you are my everything.” I said and I meant it

“Really? Because sometimes I feel like it’s all my fault.” He said

“It’s never your fault, things just happen for a reason. We just have to run through it and overcome the problems that come our way.” I said as I opened the door of my house.

When I opened the door I come face to face with four necked men. From the looks on their faces they weren't friendly either.

“You know how I said we just have to run through and overcome our problems?”

“Yeah?” Said Elk.

“Well I mean like actually run from our problems” I said and dragged him out and we started running with four necked men following behind.

‘ they are, its getting pretty bad I don't think we'll win, take Elk and go to a safe house by melted water river, I'll be over when everything is over ‘ he said back.

Since this conversation was through the mini link Elk heard everything and we started running faster towards the northern part of the territory.

The naked men shifted into wolf's so that meant we were in disadvantage. Different to other packs ours can't shift until they kill a human. That's our curse. We must kill a human to shift and when we do it's 20 times more painful then normally.

We do have the speed & hearing in human form but it’s not as good as if we could shift.

You might be wondering why won’t I just kill a human well that’s because it’s not just any human I can kill to be able to shift. It’s like mates almost, there is someone out there that I’m destined to kill.

I know twisted but it is what it is. That’s the reason why the pack trains really hard in their human form.

‘Melted Lava!” Elk said he jumped and did a cartwheel and continued running with me.

He just used his element. ‘Melted Lave’ is a distracting move that Fire/lave elements can use,it can also be an attack move as well. It’s basically making the floor inhumanly hot that it melts through clothing and everything it touches, even skin. Since he’s still a pup it’s still not as hot as melting skin so that just stopped them enough to gets us out of there without them following.

When we got to melted water river we quickly went through a secret passage that was hidden behind a waterfall. No one that doesn't have traces of magic Gens in their blood can enter.

I sliced my palm and held In onto magic bolder door. After a few seconds my blood turned gold and it started to heal. The bolder then moved to the side and we went into the passage.

When we entered the Boulder closed and the lights were magically turned on. We then started walking deeper.

We got to living room area of the hideout and everything looked rusted and old. It was expected, this hasn’t been used in almost 2 hundred years.

“Elk go and find anything that could be useful like money and clothing. We need to be ready to leave when Justin gives us the clear” I said and he followed as I said.

I did the Same. You never know what you will need when your being attacked.

‘Buzz’ ‘ Buzz’

I woke to the sound of my phone going off. I looked around and I found it on the side of the table. I was next to a sleeping Elk on the couch.

It's been two and half days and still haven't gotten anything. No one has reached me which worried me who this might be.

“ Hello?”

“hello, is this Adriana Liz Shallow?” asked a familiar man's voice

“depend on who's asking

“My name is Nick Escalivate you might recognize me I took care of you as a pup, I'm an old friend of your father's, I heard what happen and wanted to see if you would like to stay in my pack until you figure out what to do” he said

“what do you mean by ‘ until I figure out do ‘ and how did you even find out?” I asked how confused.

“I send out one of my trackers to go and find out what was going on since I haven’t heard from your father in a few days...sweety they found your father dead as well as some of the others” he said and tears started to fall.

“D-did anyone survive?”

“Justine your Cousin was put into a coma and a few guards and your fathers Gamma survived, we didn’t find your mother but we think she is being used as bait to get you to them” as he said that more tears started to fall.

“My pup Elk and I are in the hide out by Meltwater river, I think it’s best for everyone to separate. Tell everyone that as their Princess and now queen and Alpha that the pack is officially disbanded. They are to join any pack they like and keep in contact if they like but it is not forced.” I said my voice cracking.

“as you wish, I'll tell them now. Just telling you know you and anyone in your pack is welcome to join mine.” he said sounded sympathetic.

“I know but you are a close friend of my father , and I although I know the blood moons are a strong pack I wish no harm to come to your members because of me. Anyone can join , just please make sure everyone stays save will you?”

“of course Aria” he said and then I ended the call.

We were currently headed towards California, San Francisco. It was far away enough for us to not get spotted by anyone who knew about us. I suddenly stopped when I heard a growl beside us.

“Grrrrr” I heard beside me.

‘Sissy’ Said Elk through the mind think.

I slowly turning around to be faced with three pitch black rouge wolves. That wasn’t what scared me though, what scared me was that they were alphas. Three alpha rouges.

Sh*t

Suddenly one attacked but I moved out of the way. I then put Elk down beside to reassure his safety.

‘Elk! Run!’

‘What! No way! I’m not leaving you!’

‘you have to go I don't want you to get hurt, ’ I said through the mind link and as soon as another charged at me elk started running like I told him.

One of them was about to go after him but I jumped in the way and threw him into the nearest tree with all my might, when he fell he fell into a bush of poison ivy, Sucks to be him.

I’m not going to lie these alphas were some ugly, creepy fuckers. Seriously do they even shower? Like I know you're evil and all ( Well most are anyways ) but that doesn't mean you have to stink wolf ass.

The two other wolfs didn’t really care for their teammate so as soon as I threw their teammate the other one tackled me into the ground. Dang it! Now they made me dirty!

Well flair my wolf was a perfectionist so her getting dirty was in the no, no. She suddenly pushed me to co-pilot and took enough control that I could still be aware of what was happening.

Let’s just say she went psycho. Maybe worst. Three big,strong , stinky alphas against one tiny well may not tiny but you get the idea. Most should just give up the fight, but hey my wolf is not sane and neither I’m I. Even though I haven't shifted yet I’m pretty dang strong in human form.

She just basically kicked, punched, stabbed anything and everything near us at the moment. We probably had a few broken bones here and there but she was in her psycho mode and nothing was going to stop her unless these fuckers died.

Too extreme? Well that’s expected, we do have alpha blood which makes us have really bad anger issues, Plus these alphas just got her dirty and drove her her pack away and killed some of them and tried to hurt our pup if you ask me those are plenty of reason to murder.

When we were about to finish them more alphas came and now we were surrounded by maybe ten or twelve more. I was completely surrounded and even though I was pretty strong I knew I wouldn’t come out alive in this fight.

Slowly we started getting weaker and weaker. Blood was coming put of me faster then I would like and soon enough I collapsed. Not before hearing the precious voice of my pup telling we were going to be okay.

“it's okay Ma, their going to help us”

And then darkness.
