As the couple got in the house, Ppalgang ran to them and licked Hyerin's foot. Jungkook picked the puppy up and it tried to lick his face. "Oh, you're here?" Haena came out of the kitchen and greeted as Hyerin and Jungkook bowed at her. "Eomeonim wants to see you when you two arrive. She's waiting in the office." The sister told taking Ppalgang from Jungkook. "Can we see Daehan first, Unnie?" Hyerin asked with worried face. "I'm afraid you can't. She seriously wanted to see you two once you arrive." "Unnie..." "He's fine now. Go, it's not good to let the elder wait that long." Haena said pushing the younger gently toward a room. Hyerin pouted at her sister in law and Jungkook found it was cute. Wasn't it the first time he saw her pout? As the door cracked open the mother who was on the couch turned to look with her serious face. "We're here, Eomeonim." Hyerin said bowing. "Take a seat." Mrs. Jeon motioned her hand and the couple sat down quietly. "Jungkook, as a husband and a father, don't you think you need to be more conscious?" The mother stated looking at her son and he just nodded, totally readied to accept everything she said. "We're sorry for what happened this morning, Eomeonie..." Hyerin started and was cut off by the her mother in law. Jungkook secretly nudged his wife's elbow telling her not to say anything in that moment. He knew his mother clearly, just listened to her first and everything will be better. Hyerin lowered her head down, bitting her lips. "You too, as a mother you didn't know that your son was sick? And more over, you two didn't even respond to the phone call. What else should I say about you both? Oh, the only things you think about is work. I know it's important but your son needs more attention from you two, you should know that your works have no feeling but your son does. He will get hurt if he knows that his parents left him because of work." She paused to breath with her teary eyes. Hyerin sighed as Jungkook remained silent. The elder continues to blame, scold and give advices as they kept listening obediently. "What I want to say is you two should be more alert on your son or I'm going to take care of him instead of his careless parents." "Ne, Ma'am." Jungkook saluted as Hyerin bowed her head. "And one more thing, I'll look after him today and tomorrow. So you two can go and enjoy working all day until he fully recovers. And don't let it happen again or I'll really take him from you." She warned and Hyerin raised her head up to look at her. "Eomeonie, I will take care him after this...I can have a day off..." She said, pleading. "Omma, we'll..." Jungkook also cut in but his mother stopped them. "I don't trust you two in this although it's not serious. I even talk to your mother already, Hyerin. Take him the day after tomorrow." She finished and got up before walking out of the room, leaving the couple in doubt. "What to do?" She asked looking at him as he looked at her in the same way, clueless. "Omma can be gentle and she's also serious. I have no idea too." He shrugged at her. "We have never separated like this. I'm worried." Hyerin felt like crying didn't know what to do. Then they went to see their son who was sleeping in his grandmother's bed with a cool pad on his forehead. Hyerin slowly felt his cheek before pecking it gently. "Omma sorry, Han-ah." She mumbled caressing his head. "Omma?" And he opened his eyes to see his mother. She almost shed tear hearing his hoarse voice. "Appa, you're here too." His mood brightened up seeing his parents. Jungkook smiled patting the boy's head. "How are you feeling now, Han?" Smiling weakly, she asked. "My throat hurt and I feel cold. Omma, can you hug me?" He asked and she nodded before getting her body beside him, hugged him close to her chest. "Better now?" "Ne." He nodded smiling as the father watched them quietly. And that day, Hyerin took a day off to take care of her son while Jungkook had to go to work. ****** The car of the young chief slowly parked in front of a restaurant and Jungkook got out with his casual outfit. His eyes scanned around for a few second and he noticed the same man who followed him around at the corner. Act as he didn't notice, he got in the place to see a waitress and she leaded him to a room. "Hey, Maknae." Jin greeted him and he nodded sitting down on a chair. "Oh, you're here?" And Jimin came in next with a box. "And how is Daehan?" Jin asked opening the box which Jimin just gave him. "He's getting better now. But Omma is mad and didn't let us take him home." Jungkook said taking a CD to look. "That's how a grandma would act when her dearest grandson got sick because of his careless parents." The oldest chuckled. "You're just like Omma. No wonder you owned that name back then." Jungkook teased and got a flying newspaper right on his face. "Alright, stop it and get into our topic." Jimin said and they nodded. "So Gloss is still working on it?" The chief asked earning a nod from Jin. He then took out a laptop and gave it to the youngest. "I don't know how it's going now, but the big fish is always hard to find a weak spot." Jin stated. "We cannot catch it easily though." Jimin added. "Let's talk about how to put a trap around it. I have a plan and we need to use baits." Jungkook said taking a USB from the box. "This is what I got from my assistant. You know hacking did work." "Don't you think it will effect on Gloss?" "Because it's related, we have to use him. He clearly knows it and agree to be a bait as well." "Wah, this is a real war huh? This is why I become a secret agent." Jimin became excited. "You can say that again." And Jin added. As the secret meeting went on and on, it's almost evening. Jungkook got out of the restaurant with Jimin and headed toward his car. "Want a ride, Hyung?" Jungkook asked and Jimin nodded. "Aish, I should have brought my car." The hyung mumbled getting into the younger's vehicle. "Let's have some driving fun, hyung." "What?" The car went out of the place and ran fast to a quiet road. "Where are we going, Jungkook?" Jimin asked finding the car went to the wrong way. "Having some fun." He replied pointing his chin to the side mirror and Jimin shook his head. "Shh, this kid." They were following by motorcycle and the young chief was really having fun with it. "Perfect timing." He mumbled glancing at the street sign and then his watch. Jungkook speeded up making the gaps to become wider. And fast, he parked his car in the middle of the small road. Jimin smirked laying his back on the chair, didn't care to get out. Grabbing out his g*n, Jungkook came out to wait for the motorcycle to approach in seconds. The driver looked surprised and was about to turn his motor back but Jungkook managed to shot on the wheel and another one on the helmet making both motor and the driver to crush down onto the ground hard. "Wah, Jungkookie, that was harsh!" Jimin shouted getting out of the car as Jungkook walked toward the man who whining in pain. Harshly, the chief took his helmet off and take a look at his b****y head as the driver looked at him with fear. "Curiosity killed a cat, this is a warning to your boss, Kim Kunjoo, right?" Coldly, his voice came out and it sent shivers down the spine. "Give me your phone, Hyung." The younger said and Jimin raised his eyebrow. "Why my phone?" "Your number is private, isn't it?" "Oh, right. Here." ******** At home, Hyerin and Haena were chatting in the garden, watching Daehan played with Ppalgang. "He's getting better real fast. Look at him and his dimple." Haena said smiling at her nephew. Hyerin nodded smiling. "He's six years old already, right Rin?" "Ne." "Aren't you and Jungkook expecting the second child?" Out of nowhere, Haena talked about a new topic which caused Hyerin to choke. "Aye, why so surprised? It's not like you two are newlywed." Haena teased finding her sister in law got so shy. "Unnie..." The younger got shy suddenly. "Wae? Am I wrong? You're young and healthy, have kids when you still can or you're going to regret it. I'm not that healthy so it's difficult until now." Haena said sadly. "You'll have one soon, unnie." "I wish. And you, it's a good time to have another kid. Look, Daehan looks so lonely. I bet, he will make a perfect brother image for his dongsaeng." She rambled smiling all the time while the one was got teased blushed hard. "What a great idea, Noona. We'll try our best. Right, Rin?" And without knowing, Jungkook came along with his sister in law. Hyerin widened her eyes turning to look at him as he wiggled his eyebrow back and her cheeks became hotter. "Appa!!!" As soon as he saw his father, Daehan ran quickly to them and jumped into his Appa's arms. "You look good now." "Of course, I'm strong like you." "That's my boy." The father and son talked happily as Haena smiled at their chemistry and Hyerin picked Ppalgang up. And that night, the family had dinner as a whole. Since Jungkook and his father always had bad term, there were still some words from the head of the house, but they still managed to keep the good atmosphere because of Daehan. And because he couldn't go home with his parents, Daehan sobbed hugging Cheongcheong tight in his arms while Ppalgang sleeping next to him. Hyerin almost cried too but she had to go since her mother in law was so stubborn about it. Daehan was a good boy, he would stop soon, yet it still worried her. The house became quieter without the little Daehan. The TV had no cartoon song and the blocks can't be seen anywhere. His coloring books were on the table beside his stuff animals. Those pictures made Hyerin miss him even more. "I miss him already..." Hyerin mumbled looking at the door of her son's room and finally she cried. Jungkook pulled her into his arms and hugged her gently as she sobbed on his shoulder. "It's just two nights without him." He mumbled on her head. "I should've been more careful. I shouldn't be so careless..." She said closing her eyes. After a while, she finally stopped and wiped her tears away from her flawless cheeks, seated herself on the couch. "Noona is right..." Jungkook said stuffing his hands into his pockets as she looked up to him. His feet moved to stand in front of his wife, smirking. "Daehan will be happy to have a dongsaeng and..." His face was full with fun as he leaned down to Hyerin who moved back bit by bit, blinking her eyes. "We rarely have time together like this...alone..." He stretched his word leaning even closer, his nose tip on hers. "Isn't it wonderful...to have..." "Oh, the TV!" Hyerin quickly cut him off by pointing to the TV and he turned his head to look. She took this advantage to slip under his arm and ran off. But he was not that slow not to catch her on time. His sense and body synced together to get her arm and pulled her back to him. "Argggg!!!" She yelled in surprise as he pushed her to the couch and looked down at her with a smirk. "What now?" "Err...why don't we talk about it in the bedroom?" She said lowly, avoided his eyes and he raised his eyebrow. "Shall we?" "Mm" She nodded as he narrowed his eyes on her. "Nope." "Wae?" She whined. She almost slapped herself for asking that question. "You think I don't know what you're thinking?" Chuckling, he asked. "What...what am I thinking?" "An excuse. Don't worry, I don't force when you don't even want to." He said sitting up and she blinked in thinking. "Take a shower and rest, you look terrible." Jungkook demanded before pecking her lips and stood up as his phone rang. "It's me. You can talk." He said to the phone walking to his office as Hyerin sat there, sighing. Between them it's still complicated. There's a wall standing and she didn't even know how to break it herself, although she was the one who built it. **********
