Chapter 2 Giana pov "Please drop me now that I'm still nice or else I'll call the police and say you kidnap me. You know how the Spencer family detests you so much, and you're on probation? They'll believe me and you'll be returning to jail." He stepped on the brake and the tire made a screeching sound before the car stopped. He glanced at me, his expression unreadable even though I knew my words hit him so hard and he was just trying to be a man. "Take me back," I said. "Now!" "I'm taking you to your boyfriend. Do you still want me to take you back?" God! I barely resist the urge to kiss him. I glanced away to my right-hand side, looking at the trees as he drove off. My hands swayed in the air, as the wind made my hair dance. He stopped at the front of a motel, a magnificent building, and pulled over at a side. There were multiple vehicles neatly parked. I stared at him in askance on why he must have brought me here. "Why bringing me here?" "To see your boyfriend." "And you think Bryan can't bring me here if he had wanted me to be here? What's your motive?" I challenged him. He expelled air from his mouth, maintaining a calming demeanor despite my Insult. "Look, I don't know you before. And believe me, if I said I don't want to know you. But, you and my mother share something in common and I think that's what attracted me to you. My mother was dumped by my father for his childhood friend after being pregnant. And you also are getting dumped today as Bryan my stepbrother is getting married to his childhood friend." "God... no!" I clutched my hands to my chest to suppress the pain. "Why telling me this? I'm pretty sure you want me to hate your brother. But, you see I'm never going to hate him as he's the father of my unborn child. What will you gain by doing this?" "Hates, badmouthing, and evils," he answered me. "Those are what I will get for being honest with you. But, I don't care. I've received a lot of hate ever since I was little. " I paused trying to catch my breath. "I still don't know why you're doing this to ruin my and your brother's perfect relationship." "I'm doing this to help you, especially the child in your tummy. I don't want that child to be in the situation I was in. I suffered as a child because of this similar case with my mom." I looked at him. "You mean to say, Bryan is the one getting married and not you?" He nodded. "I'll give you thirty minutes to go check things out yourself, and if you're not back, I'll drive off." I glared at him before pushing the door open. I walked to the scenes where people were gathered, and I could feel the glance of the onlookers at me. I didn't give a budge about their stares. All I wanted right now was to see if Bryan was the liar or Ryan. My eyes scrutinized the whole environment, then it landed on Bryan. He was kissing a woman who was dressed in a white dress. No! I shook my head. 'It can't be Bryan,' I muttered as I dragged my foot to the spot where Bryan was. He smiled and the crowd's sounds of applause resounded in the air. His smile disappeared as our gaze met, and the woman in the white dress beside him traced his gaze to me. I stopped a few inches from him and flashed those usual smiles of mine as I continued to walk towards him, my hands reaching for his jaws I stopped in front of him. "Bryan..." I was interjected by the woman in white as she sprang and shot me a deadly glare. "Who are you, young woman? And how dare you caress my husband in such a flirtatious manner in public, aren't you shameful?" I ignored the woman and hugged Bryan so tightly even though my heart was beating fast and I was getting scared. "I said who are you?" the woman bellowed as she dragged my hair, pulling off my wig. The crowds were already staring at us and also, I felt pairs of murderous glare at me emanating from a mother and a daughter among the guests. "I am... sorry..." I stuttered. "I...am...G-gia" "Babe, this is Giana," Bryan said, pushing me behind him as if he was trying to protect me. The woman pulled up a sardonic stare and then said. "Giana, what are you doing here?" I stepped forth standing as a bridge between Bryan and the woman in a white dress. "Babe, tell her who I am. Why is she so protective of you? Is she Ryan's wife?" I asked and I could see the insecurity in Bryan's eyes. "Ryan's wife?" the woman scoffed and stomped her feet. "That's my husband woman and I'm not Ryan's wife! I'll advise you to leave this spot or else.." "You can't order me to leave here while I'm with my boyfriend. As you can see, he's the father of my unborn child. "Unbelievable!" The woman cried, dusting her palm. "This is my husband woman. You can just leave here right now. How much were you paid to ruin my day?" I shook my head with cold spikes running through my spine. "No...No one paid me any money. Bryan has been my boyfriend for the past three years. He got me pregnant and promised me marriage." The woman turned to Bryan. "Babe, is that true?" Bryan who was already shaking and sweaty, swallowed a hard breath. "I can explain... Jessie. This should be settled privately." "Settle what privately? Bryan, this prostitute, said you and her have been dating for the past three years. Three good years!" She chuckled. "Darling, please calm down. I never love her. She was just a one-night stand which I used to mend my heart when you and I conflicted. I never knew she would use her pregnancy to trap me. I'm even sure the pregnancy wasn't mine." My heart rattled under my chest and I frowned. "Bryan, what do you mean I use pregnancy to trap you? You impregnated me saying my p***y was too sweet. You promised to marry me. We still even had s*x yesterday and we purchased this suit together at Walmart three days ago. I still have the picture of us together." Bryan closed his eyes. I reached for his hand. "Tell me this is not true," I said and he pushed me.
