It’s funny how a breakup can help put things into perspective for you. It helps you realize that some people are better off as friends, and some people are worth any risk. Even if that risk is everyone you care about. I’ve spent as long as I can remember crushing on my best friend’s brother, or my brother’s best friend. Now I’m ready to make my move, and I will do everything in my power to convince him we are right for each other. Even if that means losing my best friend and my brother along the way.

I was supposed to go away with my twin brother like we did every year for Christmas.
