According to the summoning rules, familiars exist in spaces they shouldn't be, relying on the summoner's utilization of spatial rules. As a result, their abilities are constrained by the summoner, enjoying mutual magical enhancements while adhering to decay rules. Decay rules encompass two aspects: when a familiar's energy is too strong but is forcibly present in the native plane due to the contractual strength, the effective energy output is reduced. The degree of reduction depends on the difference in magical power values between the two parties and the contract. However, this can be compensated for by amplification magical items and contractual clauses. On the other hand, demon stamina is restricted by the distance between the demon and the summoner, known as the distance rule. Within a certain range, demon stamina is at full capacity, gradually decreasing beyond that distance. When it falls below the demon's basic life activity limit, the demon enters a state of sleep. The distance rule remains unavoidable, and different demons have varying levels of difficulty waking up from a forced dormant state, some even resorting to a frenzy when their life force drops to a critical level, displaying an innate talent for survival under harsh conditions.

For Alpha, Filis' newly acquired familiar, she is unaware of the exact radius of his full stamina. Up to now, Alpha has only performed simple tasks, and Filis has no idea about his supposed full stamina. Despite being a three-tier swordsman based on the seal, his stamina shouldn't be too formidable. Nevertheless, Filis doesn't dare to let him wander too far from her, fearing that he might fall asleep as soon as he leaves her side, resulting in more losses than gains. Filis, although a fifth-tier elemental mage, has not undergone a formal evaluation, as indicated by the gray sash on her magical robe. Alpha follows behind her, wearing the dark red leather armor given to him by the Warwick Village and draped in Filis' apprentice robe. This odd pair draws some curious glances from onlookers, but their unremarkable appearance doesn't stir much interest. Even Filis' magic staff is a standard-issue academy wand, lacking any notable amplification magical crystals.

This is precisely the effect Filis desires. She walks to a Marimaki Roast Meat shop. These establishments are popular throughout the continent and are also common in the capital city of Freland. Ordering herself a simple breakfast of bread and cheese, along with a few pieces of dessert, Filis isn't particular about her food. However, the cuisine here is a bit more substantial than Alpha's cooking. Of course, she hasn't forgotten to order ten roasted pig trotters for Alpha, along with a box of frozen and preserved ones.

After breakfast, Alpha contentedly pushes a box of roasted pig trotters, following behind Filis.

Filis currently has no interest in discussing his affairs, as she hears a piece of news at the roast meat shop. The mage team dispatched by the Freland Academy has returned, and the situation seems abnormal, suggesting significant losses. Filis is well aware that they went to the cave of the dark dragon, where the only threatening factor was the self-destructive magic array she had set up. However, a fourth-tier fire magic spell shouldn't have posed much pressure on that group, considering its sole purpose was to destroy her teleportation array. So, what trouble did they encounter?

Filis walked confidently to the entrance of the Freland Magic Academy, then pulled out a badge from her pocket and pinned it to her chest. This sudden move made the onlookers on the roadside instantly surprised.

This peculiarly dressed master and servant duo turned out to be students of the Freland Academy!

What Filis took out was the emblem of the Freland Academy, which came with identity recognition. With the badge, one could freely enter and exit the academy. Being a student of the Freland Academy was Filis' second identity, aside from being an unauthenticated mage. This explained why she could set up the scapegoat magic array within the academy.

The old dean of the Freland Academy couldn't have imagined that a student in the academy would place the scapegoat magic array in her own dormitory area. No one would blame themselves for that thing, and the first-year student dormitory area was the first one to be excluded from suspicion. Filis took advantage of this fact and found it convenient to draw the magic array in a place she was familiar with.

Entering the academy, another group of people cast curious glances, not caring much about their odd attire. What caught their attention was a petite girl carrying a whole box of roasted pig trotters!

The Freland Academy, centered around Mount Moyashan, consisted of three tiers: dormitory area, teaching area, and the national alchemy laboratory. The dormitory area, divided into seven regions by grade, included living services and was the main activity area for students. The teaching area was on the inner slope of the mountain, including classrooms, training grounds, simple student laboratories, as well as medical care and student management departments. The innermost circle at the mountaintop, accessible only with a special badge, was a place for teaching and research staff to conduct research. It was completely confidential, and ordinary students were not allowed to enter.

Filis was a first-year student, but due to her choice of the non-combat magic department specializing in spatial theory research, which was a rare major with only ten students in the entire academy, she had her own independent dormitory. While some popular majors had developed into situations where five or six people crowded into one room, Filis enjoyed the status of a national treasure-level student.

Walking through the campus, Filis noticed many students paying extra attention to her and Alpha. To avoid any surprises, she took out a blue ribbon from her pocket and tied it around her right arm. This action drew disdainful snorts from the onlookers.

The blue ribbon represented the protection policy of the Freland Academy, designed to prevent combat magic students from privately fighting with non-combat magic students for the latter's protection. Once worn, it acted as a peacekeeping badge, prohibiting any student from attacking the ribbon-wearer in all non-combat areas. Violating this rule would result in immediate expulsion from the academy.

Due to its strong protective nature, many regarded it as a symbol of cowardice. However, Filis had no interest in fighting and found the rule quite convenient.

Without any trouble along the way, Filis arrived at her dormitory amid the disdainful looks from passersby. The accommodation conditions at the Freland Academy were excellent, with one dormitory being an entire building, including a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and even a simple study. Many students transformed it into a small alchemy laboratory.

Filis instructed Alpha to place the pig trotters in her kitchen and then took him to report to her mentor.
