HOW I STAY FREE NOW – MY DAILY

238 Words
Freedom didn't come overnight, and it certainly didn't come by willpower alone. It came when I decided to *live differently*—not by trying harder, but by leaning deeper into God. Here's what helped me stay free: 1. *Prayer:* I talk to God honestly every day. Not just "please forgive me," but about everything—the cravings, the loneliness, the fear. I ask Him for strength and peace. 2. *Scripture:* I filled my mind with verses that remind me who I am in Christ. When temptation comes, I fight back with God's promises, like Jesus did in the wilderness. 3. *Accountability:* I told a trusted friend—like Felicia—about my struggles and asked her to check on me. Knowing I'm not alone keeps me strong. 4. *Guarding my heart and eyes:* I stopped watching or reading things that trigger bad thoughts. I replaced bad habits with good ones—like journaling, exercising, or volunteering. 5. *Filling my life with purpose:* When I focus on God's plan for me—helping others, studying, dreaming big—there's less room for old habits. The journey isn't perfect. Sometimes I stumble. But now, I don't run away or hide. I run to God, and He catches me every time. This is not just about quitting something—it's about gaining something greater. Peace. Joy. Freedom. A new identity as a beloved daughter of the King. And that's worth everything
