After taking a shower, Yingdar lay on the bed, unable to sleep. He was still upset about what Caitlin had said and couldn't get to sleep no matter how much he tossed and turned.
Suddenly there was a scream and Yingdar sat up abruptly.
Caitlin!
Without thinking, Yingdar threw on some clothes, grabbed his bow and arrow and rushed out. He remembered that Caitlin's room was at the end of the corridor, furthest in.
Ying Dal was fast. When he reached the door, he saw that it was locked. Without caring, he slammed it open and burst in. He was stunned for a moment:
In the foggy bathroom stood a n***d woman. It was Caitlin, of course. Of course, in the steamy bathroom, it was impossible to see the details of her body through the frosted glass, but the outline of her slender figure was clearly visible.
Ying Dal was immediately embarrassed when he saw this scene.
"Is she taking a bath? What's her name?" Yingdar thought to himself.
Yingdar was a little confused by the situation and after gathering his wits, he tried to step back and leave.
Caitlin was startled by the sound of the door slamming, "Who?"
Grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her body, Caitlin walked out of the bathroom and looked at Yingdar as he bowed and slowly backed away. She froze for a moment, then screamed loudly, and as soon as she screamed, she immediately covered her mouth with her hands.
The two of them looked at each other in confusion. What was going on?
Footsteps could be heard in the corridor outside, accompanied by voices. Ying Dal heard something that sounded like Yvali.
Ying Dal was about to say something when Caitlin rushed up, covered his mouth with a hand, and then shut the door tightly.
The footsteps came closer and then suddenly stopped at the door.
Caitlin immediately called out, "Aunt Yvali? I'm fine, I just slipped and almost fell!
"Then Princess, get some rest early and call me if you need anything."
"Okay!"
After that, she heard the footsteps outside the door getting farther and farther away.
Kaitlyn let out a sigh of relief, released the hand covering Yingdar's mouth, and said, "I was so scared. If Yvari finds out that the two of us are standing like this, I think it's over!"
Just then, Kaitlyn covered his mouth and leaned in close. The refreshing scent of her body made him a little drunk, and he shook his head, his face flushed.
"Is that a problem? I heard you screaming and thought you were in danger, so I rushed over to see what was going on. Is that a problem?" asked Ying Dal, scratching his head in confusion.
Caitlyn shook her head with a bitter smile, "You don't understand. Yvali is very conservative. If she sees me in an unkempt state...and there's a man in the room with you, she'll be furious."
"Huh? Isn't she just a vassal of your family? Is she that scary?"
"I told you, you wouldn't understand. Sister Yvari is a close friend of my mother's and my family's most loyal protector. The point is, I was raised by the two Yvari sisters, and I can say that they treat me like their own child! Besides, the thing I fear most is their nagging!" Caitlin smiled helplessly.
"In that case, it's okay if I nag you a little, right?"
Caitlin glanced at Ying Dal and smiled:
"It might be a little nagging for me, but for you..."
"What?" Ying Dal was also a little curious what this old witch would do.
"She would kill you for my reputation! You could say that, she values my reputation more than her life," Kaitlyn said with a smile.
Ying Dar also smiled and shrugged, "She really can't kill me!"
"That's not necessarily the case. If it really is this... situation! I think she will do everything in her power to kill you! She won't fight you directly! That's why I just tricked her into leaving, otherwise you'll have a lot of trouble in the future!"
Ying Dar had a dark look on his face and a wry smile, "What a witch!"
After Caitlin finished speaking, she realized that she was only wearing a bath towel and immediately blushed. She took a few steps back, walked to the closet, found a palace robe to wear, and then walked back out.
Ying Dar scratched his head a little embarrassed, "Oh, I forgot to ask, why did you just scream? Did something happen?"
Speaking of which, Caitlin unconsciously looked at the only window in the room, then tightened her clothes,
and said, "When I was in the shower, I thought I saw a shadow flash outside the window. I've been on high alert lately, so I unconsciously let out a scream, but it seems I was mistaken. Nothing happened after that.
Ying Dar was a little uncomfortable when he heard what she said. He walked over to the window and looked out. The glass was frosted, so you couldn't see through it from either side, but you could still see vague shadows through the light.
"I don't think anything's going to happen," Yingdar said, looking back. Caitlin still had her hair down and was wrapped in a large dressing gown.
"Well, you rest then. I'm going back to my room!"
Yingdar pushed open the door, but just as he was about to step out, he stopped.
Caitlin walked up to him, closed the door and said, looking at Yingdar who was in a daze, "You should go back. I need to change and rest!"
But Yingerda did not move, staring blankly at the door. Caitlin sensed something and leaned sideways to look out the door, instantly stunned, "Yiwali..."
Yiwali said nothing, looking at Yingerda with a somber face, and then when she heard Caitlin's voice, she looked at Caitlin.
Caitlin's hair was wet and she was wearing only a nightgown, and Yiwali's eyebrows almost knitted together in an instant.
"Ivary, it's not what you think!" Caitlin was on the verge of crying, defending herself.
Ying Dal coughed and then said sheepishly, "I heard Caitlin screaming, so I came to check!"
Yiwarui didn't listen to any of this and coldly said, "I think you're a lecherous thief with ulterior motives, right?
Ulterior motives?
A lecherous thief?
What's wrong with that old witch?
But I don't want to explain any more. He suppressed his anger and thought, "Believe what you want, just get out of my way, I want to go back to my room.
Ivory snorted, pulled the crystal ball out of her clothes, and held it up.
Hmph! You want to fight?
This old witch's rude and unreasonable attitude had made him very unhappy for a long time. She had spoken disrespectfully to him from the beginning, mocking and despising him in every way. Now she blocked his way and called him a lecherous thief! A nameless anger welled up in his heart, and he really couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Are you sure you want to fight?" Ying Dal's tone was cold.
Ivarli looked at him coldly with the crystal ball in her hands, "Bring your full strength! Let me see it!"
What?
This old witch is downright arrogant, and she actually looks down on my strength?
Ying Dar didn't want to waste any more time talking, so he slapped out his palm, directly pushing Ivarli back, and then dashed out the door, leaving the two of them standing face-to-face in the hallway!
"Hmph, is that all you've got, young man?" Ivarli snorted again.
