  Dominique   It wasn't working. I'd thought distracting myself would take my mind off of things but clearly, I couldn't be more wrong. If anything, right now, the one thing I didn't want to think about seemed to be on loop in my head, playing over and over again like it's end goal was to drive me crazy. And if I was being honest, I wasn't so sure I could last or keep my sanity in check any longer.   I sighed as I pushed out of my swivel chair immediately, small screeches and squeals reaching my ears immediately. I winced at the sound, before my lips turned downwards into a frown.
