Chapter 8: What a Week!When I went to drama class the next week, I told Michael all about the drama we had undergone at home. He was shocked as well as embarrassed that he had been accused of making me gay. I told him that I was so grateful that he had made me realise how I should get out of the closet and stand up for myself, and that I had Axel’s backing. I also told Michael that as far as Axel was concerned, he could come to our house whenever he liked and hopefully, in time, we would get my mother’s acceptance too. Michael was very pleased when I told him that Axel accepted him because it made me happy, and that was all that Axel wanted, was to have his stepson happy.
