Everything happened so fast.
It felt good—too good—and I hadn’t planned on sleeping with Dominic. It hadn’t been a decision. It just… happened. Like stepping into a waking fantasy I didn’t realize I’d been craving until I was already inside it.
For a moment, it felt perfect.
Too perfect.
Then the voices started.
They crept in quietly at first, overlapping thoughts that didn’t feel entirely like my own. They pressed at the edges of my mind until panic surged through me, sharp and sudden. I bolted upright, the movement abrupt enough to jolt Dominic awake beside me.
