Chapter 2
"Lizzie? Lizzie! Wake up!" I heard a voice in the background. My eyes opened slightly but close again. I then felt someone shake my shoulder. I then opened my eyes fully.
"What?" I asked and then rubbed my eyes. It was still dark so why are they waking me up? I then realised that I had fallen asleep in an awkward position and the plane had stopped moving. We must be home.
"We are here and we need to get off the plane," Mark explained. I nodded and then stood up. I stretched and then yawned.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"2 am," Johnny asked. I groaned. The worst thing about being famous is that it majorly messes your sleep timetable. I had probably only been asleep for a few hours.
"I take the reason you have that book is that you were writing a song?" Mark asked.
"Uh... yeah," I said.
"Have you gotten anywhere?" He asked. I shrugged.
"Kind of. I'll have to go over it." I said.
"Okay, guys we have to like go now. Lizzie, I put your stuff over there." Tony said and then pointed at the other side of the plane. I nodded and then stumbled over there. I picked up my jacket and put it on and then picked up my bags. I exited the plane and then waited for my ride. I did have a car but it was at home.
"See you at 5!" Mark said and then left. The other two left and then my car came. Time to go home.
I arrived home, half dazed during the journey. I opened the house with my keys and then stepped in. It had been a few months since I've been here. The lights were off and everything was quiet. My brother and sister must be sleeping. I dumped my things on the floor and then walked upstairs to sleep again.

When sleep could no longer succumb me, I decided it was time to start my day. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I glanced at my wall clock and saw that it was midday. I reluctantly got off my bed and walked to my ensuite bathroom. I showered and then got changed. I brushed my hair rhythmically and then tied my straight, red hair. I exited my room and went downstairs, to the kitchen. My tummy protested for food on the way. I sat on one of the bar stools and looked at the familiar surroundings. The kitchen was clean and my sister- Elise was making something. She turned around and walked up to me.
"It's great to see you, Lizzie! How was tour?" She said and then embraced me. I hugged her back and then answered.
"It was great and tiring. I expected everything because that was my second time." I said.
"Well, Lizzie you are an amazing performer so no wonder you are famous. Mom and dad would be so proud." She said. I looked at her in the eye.
"Really?" I asked. She nodded.
"Of course Lizzie. They wanted you to do what you do best and you are." She said. I smiled at her- a real smile. My eyes unintentionally started to water a bit.
"Now what then?" I asked.
"Well, you carry on what you doing and take life with a smile on your face you never know something might happen. You need to be prepared." She said. I nodded and then my tummy rumbled reminding me that I needed to eat.

I entered the Galaxy records studio and went towards the waiting room. It was edging to 5. I saw that Johnny and Mark were already waiting but Tony hadn't arrived yet. He is always late.
"Hey, guys," I said. They turned around to face me. Johnny walked next to me and casually hooked his arm around my neck.
"Hey, Beautiful." He said. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Don't you have a girlfriend?" I said to him.
"He doesn't date, Liz I thought you knew that it was one of the first things you asked him," Mark interjected. I thought for a minute, one of the first things I asked Johnny was whether he was a player. He is a total player.
"Aww, Johnny! I feel so flattered! That you are choosing me over the sluts that throw themselves at you!" I said sarcastically. I smiled at him but it didn't meet my eyes. He didn't notice that but Mark gave me a look. He always seemed to notice that there was something off. Johnny stuck his tongue at me and removed myself from him. Then Tony entered.
"Tony has arrived!" Tony said.
"So now I am complete I missed you so much!" Mark said in a falsetto accent. Making me laugh. Then another group of guys entered and then made themselves to Maria's office. It was Shane Ashby and his band RSD. He looked at me curiously, our eyes locked. He had these deep blue eyes nearly black. Staring at me intensively before he ripped his gaze away.
"What the hell are they doing here? Aren't we supposed to go see her?" Tony said. Mark and Johnny shrugged.
"I don't know... let's go in her office and ask," I said. They agreed and we went towards here office. I entered and saw Maria behind her desk. Her brown hair was in a messy bun and she was in a suit sitting professionally. She smiled at me as I entered with my band.
"Lizzie, you are here. I'll like you to meet Shane Ashby and his band RSD." She said. I faced them and they faced us.
"Hi I'm Lizzie Mcgaugh and this is my band Sweet Seduction. Mark Collins, Tony Neilson and Johnny Carter." I said and offered my hand for Shane to shake. He didn't shake it he just eyed it darkly. I flinched slightly and put my hand behind my back.
"Shane. My band RSD. Jamie Daniels, Matt Riley, Lucas Smith." Shane said reluctantly. I noticed that he took an instant disliking towards me. I wasn't sure why...
"Okay so now you guys have met I want you to take a sit and I have some news for you guys," Maria said. I nodded and sat myself down and gave Maria my whole attention.
"I have got news about your next tour. You two are the biggest things in our company right now so we have decided to put you on the same tour. The thing is that we haven't decided who is going to be the headliner or the second act. We are going to have to decide and after two weeks you are to meet me here and I shall tell you the board's decision." She said. I smiled. This could be my chance to be the headliner.
"What does your decision rely on?" Shane asked.
"I was waiting for that. The decision will rely on who would make the tour more successful." She said. I nodded.
"That's cool Maria thank you for telling me," I said gratefully.
"No problem Lizzie now you guys go. I have some business to attend to." Maria said and then shooed everyone out of her office.
"I think that we are totally going to get the headliner," Tony said enthusiastically. He is always too happy. I was just about to comment but someone else spoke instead.
"I wouldn't count on that. I don't get how your little 'act' attracts people. If it is anyone is going to get the headliner it is us. So don't get too happy." I turned around and saw that it was Shane who spoke. He was almost glaring at me.
"Listen, Man, don't be afraid of a little competition. We'll see who gets it." Mark said trying to ease the tension which was thickening by the minute. Shane shot daggers at us making me flinch slightly and then left. I then turned back around.
"What's his problem?" I asked. They shrugged.
"Who knows? Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Or afraid that we'll get what he wants." Johnny said.
"That bastard can dream of getting the headliner because I for sure know that we'll get it," Tony said.
"I just don't why he immediately showed a dislike towards us. Before he knew about the tour." I said.
"God knows," Mark said and then shrugged it off. I decided to shrug it off too.

I entered my home and sat down on the couch in the lounge.
"How's my favourite girl?" a familiar voice said. I smiled at my brother.
"What happened to your girlfriend?" I asked.
"Fine, then one of my favourite girls?" He said and then sat next to me.
"I'm fine the tour was great we just got news that I might get the headliner for the next tour," I said.
"Well, that's great. I still can't get over that my little sister is a star." He said and then mockingly pinched my cheek. I slapped his hand away.
"Well, this little girl is seventeen don't forget that," I said.
"Sure thing Liz. And what are you going to do about school?" He asked. I shrugged.
"Well I'll have to show up for a couple of days I still don't get why they want me to attend. I do courses online." I said.
"For the publicity?" He guessed.
"Might be. Who knows?" I said.
Later that evening I decided that it was alright for me to rest again. I got changed into my nighties and may on my bed. I looked around and saw my photo frame of my whole family. It was taken a week before the crash. I was 14 sitting next to Ben who was 9 and we were surrounded by Elise, Marco, Mum and Dad. I missed them. I really did. I just wish I had the chance for them to see me now. But everything happens for a reason. I looked at the frame for a couple more minutes and then drifted into dreamless sleep.
