Chapter 6
"Lizzie, have you got everything?" Elise asked and then entered my bedroom. She stood next to me and put her arms around my shoulder causing me to look at her. He smiled sadly at me.
"I can't believe you are going again!" she said. I smiled sadly back at her and the hugged her.
"It's alright Elise. I'll come to visit you and Marco. Plus I've been here for two weeks so you can't say I'm never here." I said.
"I know but you are my little sister I miss spending time with you. Promise me you will let me take you shopping," she said. I sighed.
"Okay fine but just because I have money don't make me spend it on things I don't need!" I said.
"If I don't do that you'll never spend your money." She said.
"And? I have my whole life ahead of me I don't want to end up bankrupt!" I said.
"You are too famous to become bankrupt and we are still going shopping." She said.
"Whatever you say, Elise," I said.
"Do you need any help?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Okay, then I need to go do something tell me when you are about to leave. I'll wave you off." She said.
"Sure thing Elise," I replied. she smiled at me and then she left the room. I gathered my last things and then thought about if there was anything else I needed. After a few minutes, I decided it didn't really matter. The boarding house was only twenty minutes away so if I needed anything I could come back. I closed my suitcase and tugged it out if the room. I went downstairs and placed it in the hallway and then looked for my sister and brother. They were talking in the kitchen.
"Hey, guys I'm going to go now," I said to them. They turned to me and smiled.
"You know it's not fair," Marco said.
"What's not fair?" I asked.
"I barely have time with my younger sister! It isn't fair." He replied. I smiled at him.
"I'm sorry Marco but I have to! You have Elise or Kaitlyn to keep you company. Plus I am only 20 minutes away so I'll come by regularly." I said.
"True..." He said.
"I agree with Marco but there is nothing we can do about it is there?" Elise said.
"Sorry guys... I've got to go now it's edging to one..." I said as I glanced at the wall clock.
"Okay, we'll wave you off," Elise said. I smiled at them and then headed for the hallway. I grabbed my bag and then opened the front door. I then dropped it to hug my brother and sister.
"Okay, Liz see you soon make sure to drop by okay?" Elise said and then let go.
"Sure thing. I promise to." I promised.
"Don't put other singers to shame okay?" Marco joked and pulled him into a hug.
"I'll try," I said playing along. He then pulled away and gave me a serious look.
"I mean it." He said.
"I know and I'm not that good..." I said. That was a lie I knew I was good but I wasn't egotistical.
"You know you are. And make sure no one takes advantage of you because if I hear that anything-" He said and then I cut him off. He said the same thing all the time.
"Yeah I know Marco you would make them regret that they were even born and yada yada yada. Nothing's going to happen." I reassured. The only person that would bother me was Shane. He really hated me so I guess I am going to have to live with that. It's only for a month or two nothing bad could happen, right?
"Okay, then I guess you have to go then?" Marco said frowning slightly.
"Yeah... Anyways I'll miss you guys! I'll come soon!" I said. They nodded. I again grabbed my bag from the floor and then went through the open door. I sighed. I was leaving home. Again.
But home is where your heart is. My heart is my music. I'll be empty without it so sacrifices would have to be made. I walked towards my car and dumped my bag in there. I had already put my guitars in there. I gave them one last wave and then got in. I buckled my seat belt and jammed the key into the ignition. The car started and I sped off.
I drove through the familiar streets of New York I hadn't been to the boarding house before but I knew where it was.
After a while, I was in the more remote parts of New York. I drove past the cemetery and sighed. I needed to go there. I needed to visit my parents and brother, I hadn't gone in months. I visited them whenever I could. Just for the last couple of weeks it just slipped my mind.
My chest tightened at the remembrance of my late family. I didn't get over thirty death. I mean how could I? I didn't have any support from anyone apart from my siblings.
The day I woke up from my coma was the day a part of me died. I wasn't the same person and I could never be the same person again. That day I distanced myself from the world not letting anyone in. I had to leave all my friends behind and move here with my sister. I only made a few friends but they betrayed me. Caleb betrayed me. I had once let someone in and that was a grave mistake. I was then broken even more. I guess everything happens for a reason but what good would come out of everything?
Well, you are famous. A little voice reminded. Oh yes. That was the goodness in my life the only goodness. I was grateful that I had my band and the chance to show the world my music. I wouldn't give it away for anything.
I soon pulled up to a four storey house which had high iron gates around it. I parked my car next to Mark's and then got out. I looked at the beautiful building in front of me. The house was modern but had its charm. The windows were fairly big hinting that the rooms where spacious. The house had a beautiful porch with stone steps leading you to a white but elaborately engraved door. After a few minutes of staring I was interrupted but another car. Hoping that it was anyone but Shane, my bad luck presented me with him. I decided to ignore him. I opened the back of my car and retrieved my belongings and then locked my car. I made my way to the porch aware I was being followed. I dropped my guitar cases on the ground to open the door but Shane's hand beat me to it. He opened the unlocked door and then let go letting the door linger backwards.
"Thank you," I said as I picked up my cases. He grunted and swerved past me to get in leaving me on my own. I then shrugged and then picked up my stuff and then entered. I leaned on the door to close it and then ventured inside. I walked towards where I thought the chatter was coming from. I cautiously looked around the room and saw Johnny, Mark and Tony alongside Shane and RSD. I entered the room and dumped my stuff on the side.
"Hey, guys..." I said cautiously.
"And so she lives! It took you time Lizzie!" Johnny said. I glanced at the wall clock and then took in my surroundings. The room was spacious with couches against the walls and an average sized coffee table in the centre the main focus of the room was the flat screen TV. The walls where cream with a chocolate brown carpet.
The clock showed that it was 1:05. I was really late, wasn't I?
"We decided to meet her at one I am only five minutes late. It's not like I am an hour late." I said and then sat beside Mark.
"Oh yeah... We must've just been early." Mark said.
"Or eager... So what rooms are ours? I want to put my stuff upstairs." I said.
"Maria is coming in a bit with the first act any minute now she is going to tell us." An unfamiliar voice said. I turned and saw that it was Matt from RSD. He smiled kindly at me. He had blonde hair and light blue eyes a combination that would drive any girl crazy.
"I thought she was going to come tomorrow..." I trailed.
"Well, she isn't. She is coming today." Shane said harshly. I turned to him and our eyes locked. The deep blue eyes were filled with rage. That just proved that he still dislikes me. I sighed and then broke my gaze away from his.
"Dude she didn't know. Chill." Matt said annoyed to him. Shane ignored him and I could still feel his intense gaze boring into me.
"What's his problem?" Tony muttered loud enough for me to her but not Shane or RSD too.
"So um... what instruments do you guys play?" Mark said trying to ease the tension.
"I am the bassist," Matt said.
"I am the drummer," Lucas said.
"And me and Shane are the guitarists," Jamie said.
"Cool. Well with us I am the drummer, Tony is the bassist and then Johnny and Lizzie here are the guitarists." Mark said.
"If you ask me I think Lizzie is amazing at the guitar," Johnny said. Oh God, why are they pulling me into this?
"I doubt it," Shane muttered. I sighed this is going to be a long 12 weeks.
I just don't get why he hates me! I didn't do anything! I guess I am going to live with it.
"Look, Shane, I don't know what your problem is but you can just cut it out! She does-" Mark started and then I interrupted.
"It's alright Mark. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If that is what he thinks that's that then." I said calmly.
"Lizzie are you alright?" Mark said.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I said casually. I was alright. Yes, it did bother me that I was being disliked but I was going to have to live with it.
"Nothing you shouldn't stand for things like that!" Mark said. I groaned internally.
"It's alright. Really. I'm over it." I said firmly. I hated it when Mark, Johnny or Tony went all protective over me, I was grateful but mostly it was pointless.
"I don't know what's wrong with Shane. He's been like this for a while. It'll pass just ignore him." Matt said. I turned to him and he winked at me. Before anyone else could engage into anymore conversation the door opened again and then closed. Maria must be here with Blazing lights. I straightened out on my seat and the waiting for them to enter the room. Then did. I recognised Trisha immediately seeing as she was the only girl. Otherwise, there were 3 guys all older than me.
"Hello everyone. Yes, I said that I was going to come tomorrow but I thought I would introduce you too together." Maria said. I smiled at her.
"Well, that's great Maria," I said.
"Okay, first of all, is Trisha Sparks. One of the lead singers and guitarist." Maria said. Trisha had chocolate brown hair which fell to her mid waist. Her hazel eyes had a mischevious glint to them and she lightened up as she saw me. Otherwise, she had the perfect body that any girl would kill for. She was basically the girl every guy would go for. I saw Tony, Mark and Johnny look at her lustfully so did Jamie, Matt and Lucas. All apart from Shane.
She walked over to me and had a big smile plastered on her face. I smiled back.
"You are Lizzie McGaugh, right? I am such a big fan! I didn't believe Miss Parks when she said we were going to be on your tour1 This is a dream come true!" She said happily. The smile on my face stretched.
"Yeah I am, it's great to see you Trisha and I'm happy that you are a fan," I said happily to her. At least I have some girl company she seems nice and she is a fan so we should get along right?
"Hey, Beautiful you seem happy to see her what about me? The hot guitarist from-" Johnny started but she cut him off.
"I know who you are. And I guess it is just her. Sorry to disappoint." She said to him and smiled sweetly. The expression on Johnny's face was priceless. He wasn't used to girls turning him down.
"I think me and you are going to get along," I said to her. She turned to me and smiled genuinely.
"I think so too." She agreed.
"Hey! I'm not finished!" Johnny protested. I rolled my eyes I think he isn't going to get other this until Trisha gives in. She smirked at him and then sat beside me.
"Okay, enough of this I am not going to be here for long. This is Marcus Grady the other guitarist and singer." She said and then gestured to a guy who had a medium build, dark hair and glistening green eyes. He smirked at everyone and then sat on a vacant couch.
"Hello." He said simply.
"This is Jacob Samuels. The bassist." Maria introduced and gestured to a guy with tanned skin, dark hair and chocolate eyes. He reminded me of Jacob from Twilight. He smiled easily and sat next to Marcus.
"It's a pleasure to meet you guys." He said politely.
"And finally this is Charlie West. The drummer." Maria said. Charlie had dirty blonde hair and electric blue eyes. His aura screamed 'player' he winked at me and went to sit next to his bandmates.
"Okay, I am expecting you guys to introduce yourselves to them. The rooms have been named and if there is anything you guys need then call. There is a studio in here. You guys are going to have to start on the song soon. I expect everyone to get along and if there are any problems contact me." Maria said professionally. Everyone nodded.
"Okay, I have got to go. See you guys soon," she said. Everyone greeted her off and she then left.

I dumped my things on my bed and looked around my room. Me being the only girl in the band gave me the priority of keeping a room to my self which I was happy and grateful about.
The room was perfectly sized with french doors leading off to a balcony. The bed was placed in the middle with plain white sheets. The walls were cream with a dark carpet. There was a desk opposite the built-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom. The room was perfect. The only thing wrong was that Shane's room was opposite mine. He wasn't happy about that but stayed quiet.
He could hate all he wants but he is never going to break the girl that thinks nothing of him.
